Each student will be provided a station with a 20" iMac Intel Core 2 Duo and Logic Pro 8, and the official Apple Certification textbook Final Cut Pro 7 (Apple Pro Training Series) by Diana Weynand. Although not required, it is recommended to bring your own set of headphones.
Course Description
This three-day, hands-on course teaches students to perform basic editing functions while becoming familiar with the Final Cut Pro user interface. In this course, you will cut a scene from the TNT television series Leverage, create a promo for Seaworld's Believe documentary, as well as master filters and effects as you edit a segment of Playing for Change, the international music-creation event.
Start with basic video editing techniques and work all the way through Final Cut Pro's powerful advanced features. Learn to mark and edit clips, mix sound, add titles, create transitions, apply filters, and more. Topics include basic setup, customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, Ripple, Roll, Slip, and Slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output.

This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video with Final Cut Pro and who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore its functionality.

About the Trainer:
Misha Tenenbaum is a Film and Television Editor. He currently works for Technicolor while doing training and consulting for both Avid and Final Cut Pro, and recently edited the romantic comedy "Immigration Tango" directed by David Burton Morris. A transplant from Boston, MA, Misha moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion of film & video editing.
Misha is an Apple Certified Trainer for Final Cut Pro 6. A well rounded professional, he also has a large experience in DVD studio Pro 4, Compressor 3, Avid Media Composer, Xpress Pro, Meridian, ABVB, Photoshop, After Effects, and even Tape-to-Tape Linear and AB Roll.
Misha has worked as an Editor for various TV and Feature Length films including The Finest Hour directed by Les Shepherd, Off-Road Adventures on Outdoor Channel and Super Bikes! on Speed Channel. He also edited news footage of the G8 summit and the 7/7 London bombings for Bright Entertainment Network.
