  1. Good point! Thanks! Sounds like Stack Tracks is the safest solution in Logic, even for stereo tracks.
  2. Yes, I did notice and use that feature, very nice! In Logic selecting the regions and hit cmd+j will join the tracks to a stereo file/track. For surround you'd have to stack the tracks, but that's a nice feature I think. (I don't know how surround works in Pro Tools)
  3. Oh, another lost soul in the field of post production, my time to shine. I have bought Pro Tools solely for opening AAF/OMFs from Premiere and Exporting OMF to Logic Pro. Thank you so much for your comment. I did notice that exporting from Pro Tools to Logis via OMF seems to work, and I did not get the HD version of Pro Tools as I only need stereo - yet. It might change, and then working in Logic seems to be the best option. Also, I might be making musik to future productions and don't see any advantages of doing that in Pro Tools. If going via Audition keeps file names correct that might be a nice way to go too, thanks for that tip It's fun to learn a new DAW, so I enjoy working in Pro Tools. I've used Logic from 93 (!). learning today is so much easier with all the info on internet forums and YouTube. Progress!
  4. SO I'm learning Pro Tools... AFF works perfectly, and in many ways it's a great DAW. There is something retro about it, the look
  5. Hi, is there any news on this topic, I'm trying to import an AFF of a documentary but audio clips is a mess. Latest versions of both Premiere Pro and Logic Pro... Time to get ProTools?
  6. Thanks, the Microbook looks like a solid divice, and I am sure you are right about the drivers.
  7. Hi, I'm looking for a good and not too expensive interface for live usages where I can send one stereo mix to the sound engener and one to the drummer as clicl. I am look at MOTU and Focusrite Scarlet series and wonder if anyone here have experience with those in a live set up. Thanks
  8. Hi, is it possible to have automation lanes under a track and work with the automation there. It annoys me that I have to view all automation when I just need it on one track. Thanks
  9. I had hopes for a new faster better Mini. But no way am I going to by one of these. It's a Hackintosh next - and if that's to complicated, Windows and Cubase.
  10. I often use the Event Flow window for this. Alt+e.
  11. Hi, I have been wondering about this for a long time.. When I select two or more tracks in the arrange window I often want to make them a little bigger. Just zooming the selected tracks. If I drag a corner of one of the tracks only the that track zooms in. Even though more tracks are selected. This seems like a dysfunktion to me. There should at least be a modifier key I could hold down to zoom selected flacks. Or maybe there is?? Thanks
  12. Yep, that's the way I do it too. It works great. I also believe that Flex is improved in LPX. It's doesn't degrade the sound quality as much as LP9 - to my ears at least.
  13. I really hope you are right about this. I like the LogicX GUI very much. Much better than its predecessors (If you tweak that resources file or skin the whole app ). The problem for me is features. Logic needs to do some serious catching up with Cubase. In the long run it's not enough to be cheap, dongle free and look good. (Drummer might be cool for some, but seriously... )
