  1. Hi, I have tried the above steps to cure a similar problem. I can navigate all the way to the /var/db folder but there is no /receipts folder inside! Is this different on 10.5.8?
  2. I have a konnekt 24D for mobile recording, it's great. I also know the guys at T.C and they are saying the impact has real top notch mic pres, but i suppose they would!! I dont think you'll be disappointed.
  3. Does anyone know what the key command is to flip between Logics different screen areas? I've searched for it but I'm probably being stoopid.
  4. In the past few days Logic 9 has started crashing whenever I audition Loops/sounds in the media section. Anyone else getting this? Any work arounds? I've lost hours of time to this..... Many thanks.
  5. agreed. Its just the nerd in me that wants to know! THanks for your reply.
  6. Can anyone enlighten me? Which has a better quality A/D converters, the RME Multiface II or the SSL Alpha channel strip? I know in the world of converters they are both relatively low grade but does one beat the other in quality terms?
  7. I think I'm having a hardware issue. Booked in at apple store. Seems to be a common bug with late07/early08 MBP's. Some say its the logic board Some say its the output bleeding digital signal into the analogue.... Hope it's fixable.
  8. I am getting weird gating in Logic. If I stop a track in the middle of playback or a section ends and there is some delay/verb on a send from those tracks, the tails seem to be gated very abruptly instead of playing out. This is followed by a strange beeping. I've attached a project file using basic apple loops. The delay should go on....and the reverb tail.... Please could anyone let me know it does the same for them. I am testing with headphones directly into in-built soundcard on MBP. many thanks. Help.logic.zip
  9. Hi there, I'm stuck on a point if anyone has an idea that could help?? I have an RME multiface II, the midi out sends control messages to my mpc, all synced, all good. I have a crappy m-audio controller keyboard that connects via usb and I'd like to use it to program the usual but when I connect it the RME's midi drops out. Is there a way to make an aggregate midi device or is there a simpler solution? Any help welcomed. Cheers
  10. Thought I'd leave a better description of my problem.. I want to record my sources through the nice A/D on one interface then send that signal via some digital means to bypass the crap A/D on another interface. Is it possible? how is it done? Some form of sync required? Thanks.
  11. Hello, If I wanted to use the converters of one interface to record audio but had to playback through another, could i use a spdif connection and if so which sdif connection is it best to use? Is optical only intended for multichannel adat lines?
  12. No, she is a great vocalist and the pop shield is a standard one, I think the limited choice of mics on the session didn't help. Fader8, thank you. I will look at that method later.
  13. Thanks for all your replies, The tracks are recorded completely seperatley and Isolated well! The take is great, I'm just being a perfectionist, I have automated the problem points but the nakedness of the duet performance leaves the volume drops noticable to me.. I have and did use a pop-shield! I'm really after anyones tricks on smoothing with out over using compression and just general tips on getting an exposed Jazz vocal to sound great. The tip on moving plosives to a different track was interesting, I'm going to try it out, many thanks for that Chico.
