  1. Anyone running a UAD Apollo with Yosemite?
  2. Fisherking- any plugin compatibility issues?
  3. I use Guitar Rig with MainStage as well, I and I can confirm that after speaking with the MainStage Team at Apple, Guitar Rig is the offending source of not recognizing your GIO, not MainStage. I have also made NI aware of this, but have not had any return info. I have found that 98% of the time when this happens, I have turned off/disconnected the audio interface before the computer has finished it's shutdown, so make sure to shutdown the computer completely then power down/disconnect your audio interface. If it should happen again, here is what you do- Go to your Hard Drive/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components/ and drag your Guitar Rig X.component (X being whatever version of Guitar Rig you are using) to your desktop. This will make a copy of it there. Next, trash the one in the Components folder (you may need to enter your password to do this) and restart your computer. Upon relaunch of MainStage, you will get the notification that the plugin is missing, disregard this and let MainStage start. Reassign your Gio as your audio interface in the Preferences and quit MainStage. Now, go back and return the "Guitar Rig x.component" file to the Components folder and restart. This should take care of the problem. I have used MainStage with many clients for hundreds if not thousands of shows with a zero failure rate (other than human error) Ashermusic and mmm42- you can also add K.D. Lang, Journey, Def Leppard, David Paich with Toto and Rush. Scott A.
  4. Agreed. Some info as to what is bringing him to this conclusion would be nice. Scott A.
  5. I was able to try a project today with and without the Arrange window open. With the Arrange closed, the usage of the one core does drop by about 10%, but it does not transfer any usage to the other core. This problem isn't killing me at the moment, but I would like to get this solved. Any thoughts? Scott A.
  6. I will have to check and see if it does the same thing for me in mix mode, but I am running into the same issue- one core maxed out and the other barely getting used. It is breaking up and dropping out on projects that previously it didn't even blink at before. Scott A.
  7. Thanks Guys, JS- What I am trying to do is use the I/O plugin with an external guitar pedal to create a switchable loop for an MS guitar channel strip. This way I can use my midi foot switch to bring the external pedal in and out of different patches. Turns out, it is in fact a bug and Apple engineering has been made aware of it. Thanks! Scott A.
  8. Anyone have a tip on how to get this to function? I am trying to insert a guitar pedal into a channel strip. I am running MS 2.2.1 on Lion with a MB Pro 2.8 Core 2 Duo, 8 gig ram and a MOTO Audio Express. All the cables are good, inputs and outputs are correct. Thanks! Scott A.
  9. Thomas Dolby- Aliens Ate My Buick Jellyfish- Spilt Milk
  10. Looks like your about 28 days late ski......
  11. Had one since January, LOVE it! Looking to get a couple more in the fall. Scot A.
  12. Interesting, kind of reminds me of older Depeche Mode. Would it be possible to give the lead vocal some more space? The rest of the song has such a cool vibey feel to it, and maybe a little more of a wide verb would help give the vocal that same feel. Scott A.
  13. I have seen something similar to what you are describing from a company called XKeys. REALLY nice physical USB keypads, that are fully programmable. Might have to see if I can drum one up to try out.
  14. Found myself humming the chorus today. That's the sign of a good hook IMO. Scott A.
