  1. I have 8 Ivory piano tracks in one Summing Folder, all using the identical piano setting in Ivory. Is it possible to have ONE instance of Ivory trigger these 8 tracks instead? That way, I wouldn't have to use so many instances of the main Ivory plugin. Thanks.
  2. I'm having a problem adding an audio track to an existing Take Folder that contains various vocal tracks from which I'm creating a swiped comp. I've tried dragging and dropping, menu commands, etc., but to no avail. It is NOT possible to add a track to a take folder once it's been created? If I unstack and add the new audio track and create a new take folder, then I lose all of my previous edits. Suggestions? Thank you!
  3. Such a simple fix. Thanks for the quick response CCT! Much appreciated.
  4. When I click the plus sign to insert a new track, the dialogue box pops up with the picture of a keyboard for instruments, a mic/guitar & amp for audio, and kit for drums. How do you turn the pictures off so that you only get the rectangular boxes that have the names instruments, audio, etc.?
  5. Apologies on my end as well. Needed to update my signature to include that I have Logic X. I still use Logic 9.1.8 mostly as I can't stand the interface in X. I find it incredibly dark and ugly overall. Very difficult for me to read in comparison to 9. (But that's another thread.) Started using X recently, as this is the road forward. Am having these plug-in issues and losing my mind. I run Logic 9 in 64 as with X, of course. Will continue working in 9 if I can't resolve this.
  6. Seems to be a random issue. No specific plugin. Happens to many of different tracks. Not always consistent. Hangs for a long time, and I have to force quit. Can let it run and see if it ever resolves!
  7. I'm having a strange issue. When I attempt to add a new audio fx/plug-in on a track in the Inspector, I get the spinning wheel of death and must force quit Logic. I notice this happens on tracks where there are one or more effects already in use. Anyone experienced this same problem and have a solution?
  8. I do, and yes I have an iLok. It's worked fine for 3 years now. This is one of those weird anomalies, I think.
  9. Every time I reboot my Mac and launch Logic Pro, I get an error message that says I'm missing the Pace software. It then directs me to reinstall Pace. I do this, but as soon as I reboot, I get the same message. Any suggestions?
  10. I learned from the Cakewalk site that plug-ins such as Rapture are not officially supported under iOS Lion. Does anyone have experience running this and other Cakewalk software while running Lion? Though they are not officially supported, do they still function? Thanks in advance.
  11. I'm not sure I understand the idea behind solo safe mode, but you just gave me the answer to my problem. Solo'ing works fine with Output 9-10 in solo safe mode. All Channel Strips in the Mixer Window and all of Tracks in the Arrange Window work in solo mode now. Thanks so much!
  12. I've discovered that if I click the solo button in the Mixer Window on the Channel Strip (Output 9-10, which is the stereo out after summing everything through the DBox), and then clicking solo on any individual tracks, solo'ing does work. It's all rather convoluted, but I've at least got a work around that is better than having to mess with the DBox each time I want to solo a track in Logic. Thx for the response.
  13. I tried selecting all or dragging over the channel strips in the Mixer Window, and hitting the mute button. That works. Thx. Command, Option, and or Control clicking a mute button doesn't select them all as does Command click in the Arrange Window. I have noticed, however, that if there are say four channel strips in a group and you Command click in the Mixer Window, it will mute all of the grouped Channels. Interesting, but not a total solution.
  14. I run Logic 9.1.3 through an Ensemble and Dangerous DBox. The Input Select on the DBox is set to DAW so that you can hear and mix to the summed signal. This creates an interesting dilemma in which the solo buttons only work on tracks in the Arrange Window and only if I've selected CPU-Saving (Slow Response) in the General Tabs setting of the Audio Preference pane under the Track Mute/Solo option. If the Fast (Remote Channel Strips) setting is selected, the solo buttons on both the Arrange and/or Mixer window will only function if you switch the DBox Input to SUM. My question is not about the DBox. What I would like to know is if the solo buttons in the Mixer Window simply do not function when you've selected the CPU-Saving option or if there is some kind of work around or toggle that allows you to solo in either window, one that I'm apparently unaware of?
