  1. Same here - I do it all in Logic, who needs all the extras? I like an easy workflow.
  2. I have the 20" iMac 2.0 Ghz with 4GB of Ram and I have no problems.
  3. I've used both and I love Logic a lot better than PT. My buddy had PT8 and it's looks like Logic was definitely the influence in the changes. My cousin (who's a musician) used the phrase "Looks like Logic 8 had a baby..." PT8 is the industry standard, just not my standard.
  4. Yes, please share your experience once you break it in. I think I will be next to purchase it. 50 Gigs?? Wow, time to get a new drive...
  5. I actually prefer the Expert mouse.... http://www.connectreviews.com/2007/09/25/ergonomics-connectreviews-kensington-expert-mouse/
  6. Try the Blue Snowball, it's $99 and it'll get the job done a lot better. I use it to demo songs before I go into the studio. Nice songs btw...
  7. Are you still selling the Duet?? I'm interested...
  8. Make the switch, it doesn't hurt.... 8) I just got the book last week. Great help David, love it, love it, love it!
  9. Is there a such thing? I have about $800 to spend and I want to spend wisely. I like the Saffire LE and the Duet, but not sure of the Mic. I like the Bluebird and AKG Perception 420, but I know that there are others that may be considered before these. Anyone care to share their combo or suggest one? This would be strictly for R&B /Pop Vocals. All help is appreciated.
  10. Check out Guitar Center online - AutoTune is now $199 - I think a rebate is involved.
  11. +1 I have melodyne. It is more intuitive than Auto-Tune to me.
  12. If you're a fan of Usher, his new song, "Love in this Club" is solely made up from the Hero Synth Loops in Garageband. Try it out yourself...
  13. I went with ASCAP too, mainly because (at the time) they were doing a lot of events and promotions in my area. I can't say that they've been a great help, but they haven't done anything wrong either. BMI and ASCAP are pretty much the same, but I honestly think it depends on the music you do. I'm more into R&B and Hip Hop, so I should've researched BMI more...
  14. I have no clue - I updated with no problem. Ran 2 sessions so far and opened up older sessions without skipping a beat. Kinda pushed it hard today too...I'm pleased. Do you have Logic stored on an external drive? That could be it...
  15. I use them as well, no complaints here. Great platform for indies. I love that I am on iTunes through them as well. Helps with the $$$. Can't go wrong with them.
