Have you tried importing the audio file as a WAV instead of AIFF????? I've never had this problem but then again I import the file as WAV not AIFF.... Not sure if thats your problem but it's worth a shot...

I also started off trying to use the presets but after a while came to a point where I understood what each tool does and when and where necessary to use them.. I agree that attempting to master at the beginners level is a BIG NO NO.... I had the same approach thinking I could learn to master but if your just learning to track/mix then how the hell can one even think about mastering.. Kind of like crawling before you can run..... So I worked hard day and night on my mixes, read many of books, Joined many of forums , Asked Questions, and have come to a point where I'm very Pleased with my mixes ... And so are my clients.... As far as a ghetto mastering process goes, Not sure what you mean.. Do you mean Loudness, Clearness, Depth, Width?? Or a magic preset or plug in... I will say the psp vintage warmer definitely pointed me in the direction I needed to be.. It gave me a sound I liked and then I would experiment on ways to achieve that sound with the plug ins from logic.. I would suggest trying to learn what all your tools do, then getting a good mix And listen to what the mix needs... I use to get so pissed off when I would ask a questions and get an answer like use your ears but its SOOO true... Anyways, If my mix is on the money then I find I need anything more than the Linear Phase EQ, Adaptive Limiter, And Maybe Space designer to add a lil depth..

I've been having problems when importing Audio files into Logic... I usually import directly from the cd into Logic... When I do I get a weird clip sound or skipping of the file... I use an external cd Drive and an iOmega external HD with my brand new iMac 2.8.. Heres a Clip of my issue... Thanx in advance..

How do I erase an Audio Units Plug-in??? I downloaded some demo Plugs but they won't validate... I just want to erase them if I cant use them... Thanx in advance....

Not a problem under the sun with my duet... I would exchange it for a new one if possible... And if that one doesn't work then You'll @ least know it's something else in your chain... Good Luck...

Touching story Nikki.... Just last April my 13 yr. old brother was shot in the back while sitting on my aunts couch.. He's no gang banger or trouble maker just happened to be at the wrong place @ the wrong time.. Watching TV @ my aunts and a stray bullet from outside left my lil man paralyzed.. He is a T-10 complete.. But I may have some good news for you nikki ( If you don't already know ).. There is a place called project walk in california and they have a few new facilities around the country, That has a whole new outlook on paraplegics... When a doctor tells you that you are paralyzed and you will never walk or what ever, they say that based on the past 50 yrs. of medicine.. Project walk basis there theory on future science and medicine... To make a long story short they have gotten people to walk again.. Complete or incomplete to them does not matter.. My brother who's spinal cord is supposed to be completely severed has slight controlled movement and feeling down to hiss toes... I'm going to try and post his video of him walking at rehab with a walker and some assistance from his trainers, but you have to keep in mind also that he has only been to this program 4 times.. I know this is waaaaaaayyyy of the topic of Logic but with the progress my brother has made in such a short period of time, I'd be selfish not to spread the word about project walk because it does work... Dan Cummins who was a quad from a diving accident, After 3 yrs. of moving nothing but his head and mouth is up and walking, driving his own car, and now helping people like my brother to keep hope... Yes it is an Iomega ext HD... Its not too bad but I have been running it USB and I've had 2 or 3 HD errors... I am going to try and run it Firewire and see if that helps it run smoother... If not than I'll to be purchasing a Lacie also..

Figured everything out.. I need to buy a channel strip such as the Universal Audio LA 610 and use those pre's instead of the duets.. Thanks for the help though...
