  1. I'm having trouble getting kontakt 3 to recognize my midi controller (edirol pc-50) in Logic 8. The plug in loads just fine, but it seems completely unaware of my controller.
  2. I thought I'd share this work in progress, which I'm scoring for a local movie project. http://www.box.net/shared/lhov9tykok The track entitled "Dandelions from Berlin WIP". I am also enclosing a letter which encapsulates the message of this music: "The story is about Jungian psychology; that every person has a second soul sleeping inside of them. The subconscious personality is always our opposing sex, and it exists to guide us and protect us during the storms of life. The leading lady suffers from extreme childhood trauma, and her subconscious male half, her Animus, is awakened and manifested in the flesh. Through this, Berlin learns that before she can love someone else, she must love herself first. After all, the biggest lesson God has for us here is unity. Just as there is unity within the Trinity, it must be in the family, and the self." Have a great day! Andrew
  3. That did the trick! Well, I feel a little stupid. Not to take the credit from you, but the problem has been right under my nose this whole time. Thank you so much for giving your time to inexperienced guys like me. I can finally make music again! Case closed. Andrew
  4. Shivermetimbers, Sorry for the delay. Work has been a nightmare. Okay, so I'm at Controller Assignments. Everything I have looks pretty much the same as in your picture. My Midi input shows that I am using an Edirol PC-50. For Value Change, I have the same thing as you: 9F 37 Lo7 But under Note On, I read "Ch 16, G2, Lo7". This is grayed out and uneditable. Above this, in the Controller Assignment Parameter Section, I don't have an option for "Track" in my Class category, instead it shows me with "Channel Strip" selected as default. I would also conclude that my G key is on the fritz, however, like I mentioned, if I adjust my controller and attempt to play middle G with any other key, then that key becomes the issue, and the key previously designated for this G goes back to working fine and dandy. Thanks in advance. Andrew

I promise it was an accident. Please don't mind it. If any moderators happen upon the second message, I'd be glad to have it removed.
  6. shivermetimbers, That was my thought as well. I'm somewhat familiar in using key commands, and have gone there to designate a command for the "Panic" button. Trying it, I find that the G is still problematic. It behaves much like an old acoustic key would... sometimes it will work as long as it's repititiously played, but once I let it get relaxed, it takes a few strikes for me to wake it up and get it to sound again. My only theory is that I was perhaps in a learn mode at one time and messed it up somehow, but I've tried defaulting whatever I can. Hope you're willing to stay with me on this one. Andrew
  7. Gentlemen, I have a quandary. Logic is working fine for me except that usually (not always) when I hit my middle G key on my controller, I hear nothing. It shows up as "No In" on the transport. When the note does sound, the number associated with it on the transport seems random. If I adjust the octave on my controller, then THAT key has trouble, and the one that was assigned to the middle G previously will then work fine. Why is this one crucial note conspiring to infuriate me? Thanks in advance. am
