  1. This sounds like an attractive option thank you. So assuming we both have great Internet speeds (45 Mbps download, 4Mbps upload) and fairly simple network setups then this should work? As a side note, latency should be a non-issue as there will be no recording between the two computers.
  2. Just to clarify, I'm looking to broadcast the audio from Logic uncompressed, so that my partner can stream in real time, uncompressed. An example: I'm composing a beat. And my partner asks me to replace a certain sound, I can simply change the sound and playback for my partner to hear immediately via stream. Instead of Bouncing the new track and then uploading it through email or file sharing program, which is very tedious and time consuming. Thank you
  3. Hello, I'd like to broadcast my live audio stream from Logic Pro to my production partner who lives in another city, uncompressed. Any suggestions pls? Regards
  4. Thanks for your reply. The AU is called ElectraX. I will try it in an empty session. If it's a plugin issue the best way to find a fix is to contact the manufacturer I guess?
  5. I just bought this AU and Logic crashes and gives this error Host error: Illegal midi databyte2. Is this a Logic or plugin issue? Any tips? Thank you
  6. Thank you both for your replies. They helped.
  7. I mainly would like to know about EQs and compressors... Are Waves compressors like the RCompressor really better sounding than Logic's compressor? Are Waves EQs like REQ and LinEQ better sounding than Logic's Channel EQ and LinearEQ? Please explain why you feel that way.
  8. A delay is a delay right? Any difference sonically between Logic's delays and say, Waves delays? Are there any types of plugins where it doesn't matter if its stock or 3rd party, they all sound the same?
  9. Create the new Aux and copy all the plugins over. Command+Option drag and drop.
  10. Is there a simple way to edit multiple tracks using melodyne? I'm working on a project where the singer was very pitchy. There's also some timing issues. Editing the verses was easy. My challenge is editing the chorus. There's 5 vocal tracks for the same lead part. I find that I have to tune each track almost word by word. This is exteremly time consuming. I mean its taking almost an hour to edit 16 bars. Multiplied by 5 tracks + the harmonies! Is there an easier way to do this?
  11. I've also noticed that when adding a sample delay on toms for example, they sound good in stereo but weak in mono... How bout bussing the signal to the stereo sample delay on an aux? would that fix it?
  12. With so many brands, models, prices out there I've confused myself. Looking to some experienced guys for some advice. I'm looking for a 2TB internal drive for my Mac Pro to use with Logic. I produce, record and mix. I've read good things about the WD Caviar Black but there's so many other options! Like the Hitachi Deskstar. Seems to have the same features and its a little cheaper. Any thoughts? Any other products I should be considering? Budget is around $150-$175.
  13. Ahh... So if I set it to 0 then problem should be solved?
  14. Hello, I have my EQ on the Master channel and I'm doing a HP filter sweep right before the chorus. I automated the HPF off exactly when the chorus comes in, but the timing is off. I've made sure its done right at the beginning of the bar but its still coming in too early. Even when I automate the EQ bypass off at that exact point, the timing is still off. Any ideas?
