  1. Great tip, although you don't need to place the cursor anywhere special, just inside the Logic interface, including the toolbar and scrollbars. It will always affect whichever track is selected. It should go without saying, but you need to have a multi-touch trackpad for this to work. Older MacBooks and MacBook Pros only support two-finger scrolling, so this won't work on those older machines. The Magic Trackpad will work as well, but the Magic Mouse won't as it doesn't support rotation without 3rd-party help. Perhaps with Sesamouse it will work, feel free to chime in if you use that combo. Made a quick screenshot guide as well: ]http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/6504/rotatelogiccontrols1.jpg
  2. …and of course by "floating windows" David means a window that floats *above* everything else on the screen. These can be clicked on without losing focus on windows behind them.
  3. David, your stuff is great, really powerful and emotional. I love the industrial elements, samples, guitars, and especially the dynamic choices. Your voice sounds good, it has an ethereal quality to it that sounds really unique.
  4. Good stuff, I really like the industrial elements you've added. Live guitar or programmed? I like the second track best as well.
  5. Cool stuff, I really like it Tough to tell through the MySpace flash player, is the electric guitar a virtual instrument or recorded? The synth and drum programming is great.
  6. It is a regular expression for native English speakers.
  7. WhatSize has been useful for finding the larger files on my systems in the past, give it a shot. It lets you see which files are taking up the most space. It's freeware. http://www.id-design.com/software/whatsize/index.php
  8. That's excellent. ^_^ They did a great job, and the track fits great.
  9. Sounds decent, it's tough to tell what you would want EQ'd through the flash audio compression on myspace though. We could hear it more clearly if you host the mp3 somewhere. Thanks for sharing.
  10. This forum has been a wonderful resource so far, and if I can get some opinions on my tracks I would really appreciate it. One of the songs is unfinished, but I was really hoping for some feedback from you all at this point. http://longtooth.net/SickToDeath.mp3 (industrial punk metal) and http://longtooth.net/Fallen.mp3 (instrumental symphonic metal) Guitar and vocals recorded in Logic, everything else recorded or programmed in Reason. I'm hoping to release a CD this year on CDBaby/iTunes, and will be building 'enhanced' content for the physical disc with Director. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Paul http://www.myspace.com/Tonmeister
  11. He used to release stuff under the name Circle Of Dust. Check it out, it's completely amazing industrial. I've been listening to COD since about 1995 and love just about everything I've heard, especially songs like "Perelandra," "Thulcandra," and "Blindeye" from 1998's Disengage album. His Celldweller stuff is good as well, but it takes so long for him to release new material.. He must still have some decent industry connections to have his tracks end up on the Spider-Man soundtracks, among others. Circle Of Dust rules!
  12. I bought the Axiom 49, and it works great with Reason and Logic. No complaints.
  13. I'd always appreciate more tips and tricks related to mastering, particularly with Logic Express and its built-in plugins. The L2 Ultramaximizer always did a great job in Nuendo, but I no longer have it and want to get as close to that sound as possible in Logic Express.
