  1. Also on the masterbus? I do know it works on instrumentchannels, for instance, WA Kickshaper has a lot of latency (144 samples), you can clearly hear the audio shift when enabling/disabling while playing
  2. You can disable (on/off) the masterbus plugins that have latency, you can enable them again when bouncing/recording. I agree that the ms readout of latency that has been changed to sec readout is a bummer. Hoping it will be fixed soon. Was introduced at Logic Pro 10.7+ I think It would be great if there was some box/view option for a latency total for the project calculated from instrument/input to final output. So your audio card driver latency + all serial latency calculated. BTW SSL X Limit is 0 zero samples latency when not using TruePeak mode
  3. Yeah it sends CC64 alternating 0-127 as value But it stops sustaining, with checkbox on and removing foot from pedal. It works just as a standard sustain pedal, but now I can hold foot down, move to another track, remove foot and it is sustained. That's what I used before and works now again due to this script, so it is okay by me 🙂
  4. Thanks for responding, this looks very promising. I copy/pasted this script into logic scripter and ran the script. I can see that my sustainpedal is toggling the [sustain status] checkbox on/off It does work now again when setting the sustain env part to infinitive etc (for eg DiscoDsp Discovery Pro) and toggling the sustainpedal. I must hold the sustain down and then select another track (how it worked before). I expected in this script that I could remove my foot and the sustain will hold. That is not the case, that would be cool as well to have. Many thanks, much appreciated!
  5. So, it's been awhile since I have posted 🙂 But I have a Question. I use logic as a mixingboard/stereo recorder most of the time and recording everything in real time ( I am just a weirdo) I used to hold a sustain pedal and then by holding that pedal and selecting another track, releasing the sustain pedal and the former track would stay sustained. I could then sustain the new track with the pedal, hold and select another track and release. And so on. It's like opening a VCA on an analog synth to build drones and stuff like that. I think since 10.6 (logic) the functionality disappeared, meaning that when holding sustain pedal and going to another track, it is instantly released on the former selected track. Bit of a downer for me personally, since I used it alot quite frankly. Any way to get the old behaviour back? I tried chase settings and stuff like that, but I cannot get it to work again like it did in the older versions. Other suggestions? Cheers.
  6. Yeah, even the new alchemy content was placed on my external HDD without altering anything.
  7. just tested... finally REAL multi core threading .......yihaaaa btw New Mac pros can be ordered aswell now....but I think I will wait till the early adopters report...need a real good argument to update my Macpro 5.1 and justify the big pricetag...and all the hassle to use my firewire gear and all midi/usb devices Ive got....
  8. So in fact Logic X is more mod-able then 9? I cant wait for the first themes packages for X Those blue/red meters look very cool BTW, the shadowed pan is also nice.
  9. yeah to me it is more a video edit machine than a music production tool.....I dont need 2 videocards just to render an arrangement and mixer...And for games....well theres a PC for that in the livingroom...A OSX box will never do for that. I think there will be not alot of sales of the new macpro line except for ppl doing gfx stuff on it. 7 terraflops is a nice paper stat, but as long as logic does not support multithreading, it is all marketing BS to me...or at least alot of power that I cant utilise IRL with Logic.... If logic doesnt catch up soon with the others (cubase/studio one) it will be become/feel very dated soon.
  10. I am using the integra-7 and its AU plug with great success since release. Remember to pull out the midi coming the integra-7 from the physical midiobjects sum output in your click and ports layer in the environment, easiest way to do this: add an monitor obeject and pull the cable from the integra-7 midiport into the monitor, in that way it is removed from the sum output. This avoids midiloops I suppose BTW I only use the generic USB driver in the integra-7 sys menu (only MIDI and no audio over USB) I have the audio-outs (8 of em) hooked into my studiolive 24:4:2 and that into logic via its Firewire interface. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7334/8962306554_e8a1358cff_z.jpg screen
  11. curious also here, I looked into those antelope and SSL alphalink MX units and was wondering how much actual latency settings it has to be set when using all IOs, and I mean all, not just a few.
