  1. Clean 10.8.4 install. Everything little smoother, other than the meter on multipressor is now completely choppy (to a degree compressor as well). Seems like the only logic plugin suffering though. Still got some plugins that turns gui unresponsive here and there but nothing too drastic vs earlier release... At this point I think it's safe to say they probably won't be fixing them any further anyhow. Still a disappointing release cycle of OSX for me vs 10.6.8.
  2. Like some others here, the update made things more bearable, but still haven't fix it. The analyers tend to run okay (at least consistent), but going between plugin GUI and arrange window still have serve lag depends on the plugin.. So far RX2 denoiser being the biggest offender, others like voxengo glisseq or dmguadio eq here and there. At least I'm not waiting like 10sec for the transport to stop, so that's some saving grace I guess. Still disappointing.
  3. Yah, like turning up volume full blast, only right before/at overload. It'll always playback at correct level, only at the moment it overloads. End of session has everything at that point (automation/3rd party plug etc), so it's hard to tell. I'll try running some more test again... But far as my experience goes, this tends to happen when there're lots of latency going on. Not something new, just finally getting onto my nerves with mixes lately..
  4. Anyone has any solution to this? Usually not a problem, but toward the end of project I tend to have sessions overload regularly - which in itself is expected but the volume always jump to max when the overload message pops up before playback finally stops (especially when I forgot and listen to it loud or work on soft passage - ouch). I can put a hardware limiter before my limiter to limit the damage, but it murders my ear sometimes when I'm on headphone...
  5. Anyone else have this problem? I started seeing this recently, but I don't own any spectrasonic stuff. Just 1 instance of Sampletank... It's annoying, more so when I don't know what is causing it and it seems to show up at random interval
  6. Wait till you try to clean up rhythm on a 4min walking bass. Ya should've just find a better bass player, but I'll definitely cry if I have to go back to Logic 8 to do that
  7. It stopped asking for a while, and today it asked again, ugh.
  8. Right, it can be done, but I still find it an odd omission and not intuitive. Other than that I don't have much of other complaints.
  9. I may not have use Logic long enough, but so far it has been so painful that I always end up crawling back to my hated copy of Finale. I really wish I can just use Logic's, but when you can't even enter a tied note across bar line in the score editor (unless the manual lied to me or I'm just too blind), it is below my threshold as usable. That said, if you do most of the note entry with recorded midi or piano scroll, it just may work for you.
  10. Take a look at Jungle Disk www.jungledisk.com , it's an interface to Amazon S3 with 5GB maximum size per file (if I recall correctly), which is pay as you go. It's pretty cheap, especially if you don't keep files stored online. To resume disconnected upload will cost you an extra $1 a month though with their plus service. Less headache than FTP IMO.
