  1. Hi Guys, I've been away from here for a while setting up my Social enterprise http://www.noisesolution.org where we use music tech to work with people experiencing difficulties with mental health or confidence issues - anyway as part of that work I developed a way of getting quick wins in engaging people one of those was to teach people to play the piano really quickly. I've now developed that into a video course on udemy and as I learn't so much here I thought I'd give something back. Here is a free link to the course so you can access for nothing. https://www.udemy.com/piano-hack-28-chords-in-under-an-hour/?couponCode=promofree If you want to check out the youtube preview it's here http://youtu.be/Tb9O-RM1MBY Hope you get something out of it cheers for all your help and learning Yofi

  3. Hey Fader - how you doing? Still a friendly place then. Nice to hear from you
  4. yup took three of them. 9,7 and 5 for 9 months - best thing I've ever done was fabulous, as was the bill. Ah well, long time dead and all that.
  5. Yo yo - Elbo How you doing, Tis true that I have for the moment gone to the dark side (and mightily impressed I've been with it)....but at least I'm not your father. Has been a very interestng experience learning another DAW, at first I resisted but it made total sense in terms of the learners getting the best long term outcome. It does ram home that essentially they all do the same stuff in slightly different ways. Somethings I much prefer in logic some things in reaper I really love Guess I'm just a tart x
  6. Thanks NuBlu, did all the branding and graphics (apart from the icons) myself and also built it. Might be something to do with my inability to delagate...which I think I'm going to have to get over.
  7. Hi beer moth, nice to 'read ' you again - forgot how friendly it was around here - feel all warm and fuzzy As well as the social enterprise am doing a lot of European touring/festivals at the moment next time I'm doing the pardiso or Milkveg I'll hit you up Not sure if we'll stretch to Rotterdam but possible
  8. Hi not been here for a year or two - traveled to south America for a year and came back deciding to do something constructive. So like any rational minded person I decided to set up a social enterprise using music technology to engage disengaged kids. Been doing it for a just over a year and man it's flying! Check it out www.noisesolution.org Now the more observant amongst you will notice that I'm using reaper as my DAW of choice. Now I realise that might be a touch contraversial around here but for the kids I work with they aint gonna have £300 to splash on logic let alone the money to buy a mac. Cockos who make it give me a $12 license and you can use it on pc and mac. This isn't an advert just an explanation. Really not interested in any kind of DAW Vs DAW debate. I love logic and cut my teeth on it, I just figured some people would be interested that music tech could be used to inspire people and thought it'd be nice to share that in a place where I learn't so much Peace x
  9. or place the sample in exs24 and map it across the keyboard - this way you can try it at different pitch's (slower/faster) whilst playing the track then record and bounce in place.
  10. Blimey she's really got some catching up to do
  11. Ok favorite names for fish and chip shops Fishcoteque The Star Chip Enterprise Battersea cods home The frying scotsman Pieghton place
  12. Whisper it quietly but some people have been known to commit the heresy of curry sauce with their chips - rarely with the fish as well - that would just be stupid.
