  1. I have the exact same issues on my new 5K iMac and my 2008 MacBook Pro.. i have rung apple help line a few times and they have no answers.., it definitely a el capitan graphics bug.. maybe this hole metal gpu software change is the problem..?.
  2. Hello, what is scroll and play?, the playhead and resizing the program window manually of both LPX Garageband and Reaper has a lag and steppy glitchy movement.., the gui of all the programs under el capitan for me is terrible.., the protools and adobe forums are having the same problems too.
  3. Ok this is driving me nuts.., under 10.11.3 the playhead in both LPX10.2.1 and the newest garageband lags and steps.., the playhead does not move smooth visually at all compared to yosemite.., also when i resize the window by dragging a corner its movement is extremely steppy and glitchy..?, is anyone else having this gui problem under 10.11.3?, or is your 10.11.3 gui butter smooth?.
  4. i am having loads of LPX gui lagging and glitchy problems with 10.11.3.., i have rung apple several times and they just keep saying to me reset your nvram/pram.. which i do and it doesn't help.. everything was fine with yosemite.. silly apple.. oh and loads of other programs like protools and reaper are suffering under 10.11.3 too from what i have been reading on the internet.
  5. They have finally made this the best tape delay i have used yet.., i can now finally control the crazy feedback overload madness and finally get the experimental extreme dub craziness i love so much.., i am extremely happy with the update to this plugin.
  6. Hi there.. i replied back to your posts but maybe i edited it wrong somehow and you didn't see it??.. i was reading on macrumors.com that the next update for el capitan 10.11.2 has wifi fixes in it, so fingers crossed that is true and will fix this issue.. hearing about this wifi audio dropout problem turns me off a bit so i really hope its fixable in the software and not a hardware problem..?.. maybe your iPad is seeing your iMac thru bluetooth?.
  7. Thank you.., yes i think this new iMac will blow my mind with its speed since all i been using for the last 7 and a half years is this old MacBook Pro.. haha.. plus having a beautiful 27" 5k screen to look at compared to this 17" 1920 x 1200 screen will be a big wow factor too.
  8. Awesome thank you very much for this too.. i'll get stuck in and have a good read.. thanks!.
  9. Great stuff this is fantastic and all very positive.., and like your wife mentioned you can now actually right click on this new magic mouse 2.. which i must have.., mmm ok so now i will get the ball rolling and get me this new iMac beast.. thank you very much once again. You're welcome! I haven't tried an Omnisphere stress test yet. After sitting at my computer for hours and hours the last couple of days getting everything set up properly, my poor old back needed a break. Using Omni normally, I can't even see many patches load in the loading bar. This thing is lightning fast. The other thing I would mention is that I haven't yet set up an external drive for my samples and projects, so that would've given the CPU a bit more work to do. All I can say is this computer is a freaking beast! It should be, for the money I paid for it, yeah, but it doesn't disappoint. At. All. It boots in about 10 seconds, from the GONG! to the desktop. As a bonus, my wife came home from work yesterday to tell me a colleague of hers informed her that the Magic Mouse 2 could be configured to right-click. YES!
  10. Hello there!.. i have a 2008 MacBook Pro.. lol.., this mbp has been a fantastic machine but over the last 6 to 8 months its cpu just can't handle the newer software synths like iris 2 and alchemy, plus i have been really struggling to justify the expense of getting a new iMac because here in new zealand our dollar has fallen against the usd meaning it now costs $600 more for the new iMac.. Why should then any benchmark change your decision, if you need badly a new computer and can't wait anymore. If you're computer is so old, the new iMac will smoke it anyway. What model do you use now?
  11. Thankyou so much for this!.., this is great news as i badly need a new computer and have been waiting for months and reading about the greatness of these new skylake cpus but i just needed to know for sure.. and how does omnisphere do?.., i use the Iris 2 synth/sampler a lot and thats a big cpu hog too..
  12. can you please load up a heavy alchemy patch/preset and or some other hard hitting cpu synths then duplicate that track as many times as possible to see how many the cpu can handle before it maxes out.. i am super interested to see how good these new skylake cpu are.. greatly appreciated!!!.
  13. ok thanks.., when you can if you don't mind could you load up as many tracks as possible with heavy alchemy patches so we can see how many/much this new i7 6700k cpu can handle.., alchemy seems to be very cpu intensive.., i am extremely interested to see how well this new i7 5k iMac can truly handle.
  14. Thank you very much for this but are all of these tracks samples/audio? or AU synths???.., i need to know because the real test for me is how many instances of alchemy running at the same time can this new i7 6700k cpu handle before it snaps crackles n pops!???.., and also how many 3rd party AU synths n samplers like serum or massive or kontakt can it handle, if you or someone could please post up your tests/findings it will be greatly appreciated!.. thankyou!.
  15. Fantastic to see the new Skylake cpu now in iMac but i am annoyed at why DDR4 ram isn't used and no USB-C..?.
