Ok, trashing prefs didn't fix it, so this has to be an issue with my Autoload, which i am using from Logic 9, if i open a blank template and create a Stylus RMX track everything works as normal, MIDI file is accurate and lines up at the end of the bar. Wonder what setting they changed. Damn, i really don't want to re-create my Autoload from scratch uugh. Thanks again Eric!

Hey there folks, i'm kind of a stranger to these forums but i do hop on every now and then to see if i'm missing anything, and i usually learn a thing or two as well. I'm here today because i seem to be having a little issue with Midi files or regions, if you take a look at the pic below you'll see 3 files i've dragged from Stylus RMX ( purple ) and a MIDI bass line ( green ) that i dragged in just to prove my own theory, if you look closely each of these files seems to have an overlap on the end and for the life of me i can't figure out why, the file itself should be a correctly sized loop. This never happened in LP9, i've been using Stylus since version 1, it makes looping these files impossible unless i trim each one individually, and it's not just Stylus, it's every midi file that i drag in, although green apple loops are fine. Is there some new setting that i don't know about in LPX or could it be a bug? i'd love to get to the bottom of this asap. Thanks! B

Hey there, i only just recently discovered all this modding fun, thanks to everyone that has contributed, amazing stuff, who needs logic 10 anyway? this is way more fun I do have one part of the puzzle that is bugging me though, i have tweaked a few plugins too but there's 2 dials on the ES1 that just stay green, i can't find the tiffs for these, if anyone's discovered where they are and wants to share i might actually be able to get some sleep this week. Well, OK, next time, think about this: the amount of time it takes to clone your drive is probably less than that of all the aggro you're going to go through getting a working system back. Who knows, by the time you get done maybe Lion will be here LOL! Good luck getting back up and running.

I had an idea many plugins wouldn't authorize, i had no idea that logic would simply crash 38 times with no explanation no matter what i tried & with no plugins even in the components folder yeah i hear ya about the cloning, definitely should have done that, but i still wanted to get on snow leopard, i mean many people are using it fine, the computers at the store all run SL and totally fine, can't stay on Leopard my whole life lol..

Ok, i think i'm getting somewhere, thanks! this seems to have worked, 10.6.6 and prokit 7.0, i now have got past the au validator, no plugins in the components folder, gonna try adding them now in small batches, important ones first! cool.

Are you seriously asking me this question? Nobody's taking anything from my place of business, i get home from work and there's packages on my doorstep every other day, yes they GIVE them to me, they want me to sell their products, and what better way, the more knowledge you have of a product the easier it is to sell.

Only real reason i mentioned the VST & VST 3 is because i've noticed that certain plugins have to have the VST version installed as well as the component, otherwise it doesn't work, can't remember which to be honest but i went that extra step of removing those too. I have so many plugins because i work for a major music retailer and get everything as NFR's ( not for resale ). I'm sure a lot of the random plugins won't be compatible but i don't know which, i was just going to remove those after i'd booted up and seen the bad ones in the audio units validator window, just haven't been able to get that far yet and i have moved all the plugins to a disabled folder out of the plugins folder. Crazy thing is i can get Garage band and Ableton to open up and validate the plugins, go figure. I'm leaning towards 10.6.8 , didn't really want to go that high as i know there will be plugins incompatible with that, but if i have to then so be it, but f Logic doesn't open after that then i hate to say it but Protools might be given a chance to win me over. i have downloaded and installed the combo updates for 10.6.3 and 10.6.4, still getting the exact same issue, really have no idea what to else do.

Hey folks, i am about to commit suicide i think, i have just spent the last 10 hours trying to get Logic to open to no avail. i was quite happy with everything on my system, everything had been working flawlessly, ( MAC PRO 2 X 2.8 Ghz Quad Core Intel Xeon 8GB / OSX 10.5.8 / Logic 9.1.4 ./TC Electronic Konnect 48 ) I just thought at some point i will have to upgrade anyway, Lion is around the corner and i hadn't even moved to snow leopard yet so why not. I had finished all pressing projects and even re categorized my whole sample library and EXS24 library, I had some extra time so i figured i would upgrade to snow leopard. Anyway, since that point i have not been able to get logic to pass the 'scanning Audio Units" part, i have moved all Components, VST, VST 3, MAS plugins to 'DISABLED' folders and still no joy, i have trashed preferences and au cache etc.etc.and it just keeps closing as soon as i hit 'ok' after it says it will now scan ### audio units. Here's the beginning of the crash log, if anyone has any suggestions it would be great, i really can not even think about re-installing all my plugins, way too many! i would need to take a month off work,( i think it says it is trying to scan around 1200 plugins although the components folder only shows 657 ). This doesn't seem to be working for me in Logic 9, not sure why i keep getting this problem in every version of Logic, there has to be a setting, ( or there should be a setting ) built into the application, i have zero items in my 'open recent' menu and can't get any to register no matter what. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
