Hi @whitebalance. I'm on LPX and as mentioned I always select "Copy EXS instruments and samples into project" yet it doesn't behave as you would expect. A work-around I've been using is to save the project as a folder instead of as a package, drag or copy any new sample into the project's "Samples" folder first, then load them into the EXS zones directly from there. This works, but just as you did, I thought the default behavior should be an instantaneous copy into the project folder no matter where the original sample's location is if this option was selected in the project's save settings. @gdoubleyou, I hear you and I wish I didn't duplicate samples as often as I do but I always end up creating project specific EXS instruments anyways so I find it easier to just have everything in one place, plus I'm a serial collaborator so saving assets is a must.

When saving a new project I always choose the option to copy EXS instruments and samples into the project folder. Once I've saved a new EXS instrument I often add new samples to it and it has occurred to me that only the samples that were loaded prior to saving said instrument for the first time are saved within the project folder, and any additional samples are merely referenced. Is there a way to ensure that additions to a sampler instrument are also saved into the project folder?

When you select a channel In the Sound Midi Batch Setup window, choose C-1 for group A, C0 for group B, C1 for C, C2 for D, C3 for E, C4 for F, C5 for G or C6 for group H.

Hi ladies and gents, Quick question about groove templates. I just successfully created some from audio files and they showed up on the quantize list in the 'piano roll' as well as the 'inspector'. My problem is the templates are no longer on the list when I open a new project. Is there a way to make them part of my quantizing options permanently? -JM
