  1. Checking your keystrip gain on all busses was right. You could still be hitting an input or buss too hard. The keyboard velocity might be too hot causing the same thing. I was playing medium to medium hard and getting velocities readings in the 110-120's which put every note at pretty much max volume. If you play dense passages, your meters will be very hot = overload crackle. Adjust the velocity scaling to fix it. If adjusting I/O buffers gets the same result, I would suspect the above.
  2. Up in the top middle of the screen, you see midi info as you play. Can't remember if it's single or double click on that field to send a midi panic. Try it before a relaunch or rebooting. If that fixes it, recheck all your routing in the macs midi setup just to be sure. Get the latest drivers for your interface etc. It can't hurt to recheck everything. Heck, have a friend look at it. Sometimes you can stare right over a fat finger and later it's "Doh!! Stupid me" Good luck
  3. On Stage Stands WS8540. $80. When folded is a T shape but gives you esentially 4 table legs under a 19 inch rack. They weigh a bit due to steel construction but do fold up small enough. You won't get it through carry on though. You can just borrow an empty backline (guitar amp or kick) case when you get there. Good luck P.S when you get one, put locktite on all the small screws and glue the feet on better. Their fit is not perfect and they do come off. The basic stand is well constructed though and is the best and sturdiest thing I could find for the application short of custom build.
  4. A 2 space SKB Studio Flyer on a height adjustable T stand does it for me. I can take it on fly dates too because it literally is the same size and wheelability as a small carry on. Smart fellers at SKB!! Holds a Macbook Pro, Furman power conditioner, MOTU Ultralight, and in ear transmitter. I even had room for a DI secured in the back. Plus the lock top adds some security for when your not on stage. Good luck with your search.
  5. I use a MOTU Ultralite. It serves as an 10 in 8 out 8 buss stereo mixer for minstage, 2 other keyboards, in ears monitors, FOH fead, stage monitor, vocoder, backline feed, etc. Very flexible for any need. Throw in the excellent compression and leveling to fatten up those other keys and your sound kills. You can save multiple configs so it can instantly be a recording interface too. It was worth the extra expense as it cut down on space, weight, and setup. Hope this helps, Hooch

  7. I'm using mainstage Through a Motu Ultralight live all the time. With any MIDI controller.(no more furious programming with supplied wrong backline gear) Get yourself an SKB studioflyer hardcase and you'll have somewhere to keep your macbook pro rig all in a safe place. Plus it qualifies as a carry on for fly dates. Ya, it will take me a year to pay for. Ya, it was completely worth it. No hardware is going to give this much flexibility that you can deliver with wherever you go.
