  1. I record 8 bars of midi but when I stop record I get 120 odd bars of ghost or alias parts repeated on the track. All I want to do is loop a section and re-record the midi around that section. How do I turn that off -struggling to find a solution! Thanks Lou
  2. Many thanks - I only use Komplete 8 suite from Native Instruments to stop plug issues! I'll check ...
  3. Getting a lot of delay when opening Mainstage...I have to abort scanning audio units ...and I get a pop up regarding "finding SOUND DATA" ..Any clues how to fix this please please?
  4. found it ...not to worry ...a blues harp that will do! ..its in legacy instruments/horns and woodwinds!....can only find it in Logic not mainstage...but fine thanks ...
  5. im desperate to find one ...where is it please?
  6. Keep getting this error message ...Anyone got any tips to try and resolve this please? it just freezes whilst playing ... I use multiple plugs and an Edirol fa66 interface .. tried on the internal sound card only and it stil does it ...The error message is..... Disk is too slow. (Read) (-10003) The Sudden Motion Sensor may have parked the hard drive head, or the disk performance is not sufficient to read or write all audio tracks, or the system was not able to process all data in time. -------- I have an SSD drive so why a motion sensor issue? looks like its off anyway! 7. Hello, Ive got Logic 9, an RME 800 interface, a Furman Headphone amp HA6AB and a Presonus Monitor Station ....However these questions may not be Logic specifically ...sorry...as I'm not sure if this is an RME or CUEMIX/TOTAL MIX, solved in Logic (think you can in Cubase!) or just general questions that I have...but any help greatly appreciated! When recording live demos (4-5 musicians) I want to get 3 or 4 independently controlled headphone mixes to the musos.. No latency, so direct monitoring I guess and a (non recordable) reverb for vocal monitoring...I currently use direct monitoring through CueMIX and put a reverb aux send in the Logic strips and mix that direct and after Mac...but on any playback I'm button crazy trying to remember levels of reverb sends and overal output etc... The RME has multiple outs with 1/2 currently to Presonus, then to three sets of monitor speakers...The Presonus has multi stereo outs from that to my headphone amp then I run 4 independent volume only controlled headphones from that ... As every musician wants more of himself in the cans than the others .. Any suggestions for routing or maybe to buy other gear ( mixer or control surface) I should buy to solve both the reverb and monitoring issues?
  8. Thanks ...ill back up tonight and price up an Ssd drive! gotta be he way forward?
  9. yeah .. i play keyboards so I have a laptop stand attached to the keyboard stand ...So I guess with dodgy stages it can move around ..Just strange I gigged for a year with no issues but since upgrade of RAM its started happening ... thinking about it if I put a SSD drive in that should sort any movement issues?
  10. David...I rececntly changed RAM to 8gb in my Macbook Pro ...I'm running Mainstage but am getting this same issue ..Parked hard drive ...its seems to be big spike in the CPU first then sound cuts out ..I get the window that says motion detected I press ok and it works again ..Would this have anything to do with the RAM install? ..I bought the RAM to run it in 64bit but some of my plugins dont work right so Ive gone back to 32 bit as the bridge crashes a lot ...It says motion sensor detected 'enabled' ...maybe turn that off!
