  1. Hello fellows, I'm looking for a way to lighten up the load and speed up a bit the workflow. I've been using in a lot of releases till now a combo of Exs24s bazzism and D16drumazon and Lots of ES2 for crashes and noises I've come to thew conclusion that except for bazzism it's quite better I will go sample-based, Then with the proper samples, I can have just one EXS24 hanging around with multiple samples stacked on each row In order to keep the worflow fast I NEED that I can have ie 4tracks for the same EXS24 (or any other multi output instument) Is such a thing possible in LP9? THANXXXXXXXXXXXxxxxxXXXxx
  2. Hello fellows, pretty simple question for who use the es2 I guess I took PADS-> CHOIR PAD and after making sure no LFO no whatever were modulating the volume and Cut 1+2 I still have a abrupt change in volume randomly seems not to be tied to the project Have u got any suggestion on how I can kill it? Thanks a lot.
  3. Hello fellows, I came across a old bck hdd from mine and found a musically good old logic project I wanna get my hands on, but it should match the aesthetics of what i want to release now. The project is almost entirely made of audiofiles. The tempo is set to (weird ) 87.3 bpm and shouid be take to 100 bpm. Select all regions and stretch holding down the option key brings in too much artifacts and f*%@ up the sound too much to be used. Should i use the flex function on every region separately? Normally i don't do any stretch or flex on the audio material, this time i'm forced to work with audiofiles because i don't have access to the original midis and vsts of the source project if someone has ideas with are not TOO time consuming to match 100bpm is very very welcome ty Jonny
  4. i justy tried to convert one of my sessions in 88.200 mostly virtual instruments, no audible benefit so far on monitors
  5. you should tune every vst on his own the master tuning in the preferences(logic9) is quite uneffective on these. there are .tun to be loaded into the vsts (i use albino and shylent1)
  6. hello pals SO yesterday i met up with a enior mastering engineer, while talking about hdr he put a lot of doubts in my head, he says that working in 88.200khz would have the plugins working better and doing their calculation, and this is flawless then he says that the less the sequencer's cpu is occupied the more quality you have when you bounce, the same for hdd usage, so i'm about to giving it a go, my projects are normaly around 75-80 tracks, usualy half of it are virtual instruments, the rest is audiofiles heavily processed. in order to find out if what he said it's true i got hours in bouncing/freezing tracks to go, have you ever had similar experiences? (turniing everything to audio with no effects to see if the bounce has more quality)
  7. i also had this s.o. message and found it very very annoying the workaround for me was to disable this option inthe preferences (of logic) menu now it get it but it won'ty beep and shut all, it's just stopping with no harassement hope this helps
  8. thx buddy i'm now sure that i didn't wll go for this from now on, about opening the project, normally it would ask a menu while loading it up,where you can choose "skip all" "locate" and other choices, i can't get such a menu when opening this project only
  9. from the "audio files" folder from finder the computer was too slow to open the project file
  10. Hello buddies I have this strage issue on a single project, It suddenly went from 1,3gb to 29,5gb (!) whitout any waning, then, investigating inside the project folder i found this empty audiofile namend "bus#63.aiff" witch was 28,2gb per se. i deleted (and emptied trash then) it because there wasn't any audio signal on it and i need space on the primary hdd for working on. Now project file gets stuck when loading audiofiles while opening, searching this one i guess i had a recovered version of this porject but it's prior to some nice hanges i've made so i should get my hands on the newest version
  11. hi fellows i have my old daw (mid 2009 15" macbook pro) with a Disk i/o error. the hdd needs to be replaced, i've found a very mnice deal for a replacement hdd the problem is that the cdr drive is totally broken and it can be booted with the original disk when replaced i want if possible to avoid the expensive apple service (they charge about 80€ per hour) thanks J.
  12. Hello fellows, hope all of you are fine and this very Logic place This time seems to be more difficult than expected, trying to build a beat like this, it kinda goes out of my usual array of samples & tecniques Is there Vinyl Crackle added on? It gotta be a sexy slowy beat with a lot of groovyness It's better to find a groovy beat like this then proceed to split/mangle it up or start with a drum kit? SOME EXAPLES of what i mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-vQGy9ygrk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIs78WO6fHI thanxxxxx
  13. Hello dear logic-thinking-heads I'm currenly doing some massive works (20+projects to bounce) , UNtil now i do the same time-consuming tasks -solo the bus -name/folder -bounce -repeat for each and fx returns Being aware there's that obscure thing called Applescript , i was wondering if itìs possible to build from scratch an a.s. to do such a thing automatically and if it's possible if it's a paranoid-programmer stuff or is ignorant proof to build that would save me a loooooooot of time and nerves
  14. Hi gang I've been using the regroove mixer all the way on reason, it injects a unique feel, it's programmable and there are a lot of grooves, plus u can make it by yourself I've tried Logic's quantize engine for audio clips, but it crashes the whole app somethimes and it's pretty unflexible (u have to create a new region everitime u process, and only audio) MIDI quantize is limited to the shullfes and swings listed in the quantize menu, but i'd be happy to proven wrong is there any other "shuffolators" even 3rd party i can use in logic? thx
  15. Thx David, the Duet is actually a valuable option;the SOLO seems another good option, the only thing that stuck me is the 1/8" only output I was looking to this A&H mixer with included audio interfrace http://www.allen-heath.com/zed/zed12fx It seems to be a good replacement for the Yamaha, altough i'm not sure about how USB interface works has anyone used it before? The AC hum i'm getting is actually in the upper highs (12-14>khz), like when you turn on an old cathodic monitor, the whole building is very old as power implant. I got only 2 power sockets here and i've tried to plug the mixer in one and the other stuff in the other but no results, of course i unplug the computer AC while recording There is also a little channel bleeding if i keep the monitoring channels around 0/-6 Whit a new interface and using only balanced connections can I get rid of this? thx friends
