I am just annoyed of finding new bugs in every new version of the software, which i basically love.....sometimes I ask do they really, really, really test that stuff before they release it??! did you experience samples cutting off? Hi, Two days ago I experienced that the EXS Sampler was cutting off all the Samples after maybe 1 sec. Which is definitely a show stopper. I remember there used to be a similar, or the same bug in MS 2.x. EXS plays everything fine, and after a while it just cuts off the samples. Mostly with the horn samples (Funk Horns). I remember the only solution was a restart of the Mac in MainStage 2.x Everything was fine with 2.2.2 and 3.0 and 3.0.1. 3.0.2 seemed fine too, until I did some editing on a concert. Suddenly all Samples were cutting off and EXS did not play complete samples. I could not reproduce the problem and it seemed fine today but I really hope this won't happen again, and is no bug! As I use EXS in every single Patch and sometimes I let EXS play some longer (7-10 seconds) Aiff files like Song intros. This just worked fine with MS 3.0 and MS 3.1 on Mountaion Lion. Right now an ideas strikes me. I updated to Mavericks a while ago.....Is Mavericks cutting off the Samples and not MainStage ?? best regards myand

Hi, Is it just me or is this a bug? In MainStage 3.0.2 when I select save as concert and DESELECT copy Samples into concert it still copies all the files into the concert. So I get a huge Concert File. In MainStage 3.0.1 when I do the same, it just saves the concert file without the samples. Basically it´s good to have the concert file as a package with everything (Samples and Playbackfiles) you need. But I like to save every concert seperatly I performed on stage. The file name is containing the location and Date (e.G. Munich 20/04/13). So if do this right now I get 100s of MainStage Concert each 2 GB big.....not very handy.... how do you handle it? best regards

Hi, I found a crucial Mainstage bug. - you need to be in Perform Mode or Live Mode (Fullscreen mode) - Your patches and Sets have to be aligned in two columns - If you hit the blank space between the patches (right next to set name) - Mainstage crashes. You can try it with the presets, too. Align the patches and sets in Layout Mode in 2 Columns. In Perform Mode Hit the Blank space between Patches and Sets....and Mainstage crashes. It is a crucial bug. Cause it happened to me 2-3 times live when I wanted to select a patch - obviously I did not hit the name of the patch exactly. Instead the blank space between patch and set and boom mainstage is gone.... I can reproduce this bug on every mac I have. MacPro, MacBookPro, MacBook Pls try it out and let me know! regards myand

Hi, I am thinking about getting a new macook pro only for live purposes with mainstage. what´s the best machine? Will Mainstage take full advantage of the 4 cores in an intel Core i7? Well the 13 " macbook pro has 2,8 Ghz whereas the 15" macbook pro can have 2,5 GHz. I know it is a quadcore, but will mainstage use all the cores to process? I want and need as much processing power for live use for mainstage. what´s the best machine? regards myand

Hey, Yes that´s the difference. I don't want to use current Program number. The Program number works flawlessly for me too. I use Prgoramm Number to respond to Patch changes that Mainstage receives from my S90es. I wanna use the Korg Nano Kontrol to send the PATCH NUMBER to Mainstage so I can have 3-4 often used sounds with the click of a button. It´s buggy. As I said. I have to find out by trying out which number typed into "save" button on" and "button off" turns into which Patch number. Than it works. But this can't be intended! regards myand

Hi Thanks for your answer. Sometimes it works as expected sometimes not. I also have a korg nanokontrol. For example I set one button to change to patch 7. So mainstage does not change to patch 7 but always to patch 11. Where's the logic behind it. It's like I have to figure out which number changes to which patch. That's more or less ridiculous. Hey, No it does not work. It seems to be buggy. I don't want to work with the Programm number. Because certain Patches are selected via Programm change from my Yamaha S90es. What I would like is to directly select a Patch with the push of a button. There seems to be the feature "Patch number" but me (and firends of mine) who are using Mainstage are not figuring out how it works. It seems as Mainstage randomly picks a patch independently of what you type in the field Patch Number. any thoughts? best regards

Hi, how did you manage it exactly? I am trying to assign a button on my Korg nanokontrol to switch to a certain patch in my concert. it just does not work. Up to now I switch through the patches as follows. I have one button that lets me skip through the patches and one that skips through the sets. That works fine. But now I want one button that always selects let´s say patch number 12. I don't know how to do it. any help appreciated.... best regards myand

it´s a bug... the apple discussion forum is full with it. https://discussions.apple.com/message/10889350#10889350 If you have to use longer samples, that have to work 100% either use the Playback plugin, or another software Sampler like Kontakt.
