I use Melodyne Studio 3 standalone (ALOT) for all my vocal and harmonies editing, and I generally use the plugin for bass tuning. Here's my workflow for Vocals. I have a key command set for "Export Track As Audio File" And I bounce each vocal track down (takes 2 seconds, I usually just arrow down and hit the key command for Export Track and then enter and repeat. I save all my vocals in a folder titled "pre vox 182< project tempo" (Its handy to see that tempo on the folder so you can enter it in on the transport part of Melodyne. Then I MUTE all the tracks I just exported, Now I bounce down the mix of the song with no vocals (make sure the bounce starts at 1-1-1-1. I always name that MIX and put it in the folder of vocals. I like to have the song playing in there while i'm working out all the parts.. Now open a new arrangement in Melodyne go to File>Import Audio File and select all your tracks and push enter. Tune and Save Audio to export the tuned versions and then drop them back in Logic starting at 1-1-1-1 and your in business. IMHO Studio is unbelievable because of key commands.. you can FLY if you get a workflow with that going.. the plugin (which i still like) PISSES me OFF every time I freakin push Command Z like a retard... AND because I can make harmonies blend by seeing the layers underneath while I tune other notes.. happy tuning.

Rob, Let me install snow Lep, and get logic up to the latest and see if that fixes it.

I'm having a problem with SoundToys Echoboy. Makes a pop/click every time the beggining of a new region comes around on that track...??

THANK GOD FOR YOU GUYS AND THIS FORUM.. haha (sorry for the caps) but you guys just saved me alot of heartache.. i couldn't get logic to open because of the stupid older version of melodyne plugin. shewwww.

this happened to me in an important session the other day and I thought i was losing my f%%ing mind..lol... Nothing was hidden and everything was clearly not solo'd... and guess where the solo'd goober was.... The environment window. Somehow this happened while i was bouncing a track in place.. anyways there's always a solo'd track SOMEWHERE you just have to go searchin.. haha

I've been doing this with my band successfully.. I love Mainstage.. I bounce down stems and use the play back plugin and link them together.. I route the click out of my firestudio and send it to the drummer and I route the vox/music/pad stems out to the house in one send.. i also use it for my vocal effects.. I have a knob on my keyboard that turns up the delay return on my vocals.... very cool. if you have more question about doing this hit me up on this email: the.delicate@yahoo.com

I love logic for everything else though!!

get protools w/production toolkit and use beat detective. you can do it just fine in logic.. it just takes forever.. and sucks i've used every workflow. Logic 9 had promise but didn't bother to put the features into Slicing mode that would've made it an actual beat detective alternative...

I use Steven Slate in Ultrabeat all the time.. but i don't have the latest version.. mine are in .WAV

While doing some drum editing today I've been getting this message. ---------------------------------------------------------- Not enough memory to create clipboard/Undo! Should never happen ----------------------------------------------------------- Has anyone seen this.. I have NO plugins going just 10 tracks of drums.. i've done this kinda stuff all the time.. i don't know whats going on..

Its just crazy that their much more expensive unit is having trouble with something a Macbook isn't..

this seems like such a huge issue why aren't more people talking about it on here?
