    Thanks again Polaroid.

    Apple loops?

Thanks for checking it Polanoid. I'm not great at duplicating so have pressed on etc...I'll probably post a follow through question, whether there's a simple way to convert and apple loop to midi.... Again, thanks for your help.

    Apple loops?

When I audition a loop in this case Duncan the loop sounds right for the track i'm working on. But when i bring it in and it selects a drumkit and dmd to play it with it doesn't sound the same. When i bring the loop onto an audio track then it's similar. But i'd like to adjust parts of it, so am wondering if there is a way to have the same sounds with the same effects etc...Thanks very much for your help. Best, John
  4. Thanks for your suggestions.... My hope was that there was a way to backup to the cloud that could be practical... I have a 1.5 tb of older music stuff and you'd think that there'd be away to back stuff up to the cloud without the project of turning everything into zips... Seems a bit of an apple glitch...As icloud as well can't back up an external drive...Again thanks for the suggestions so far!
  5. Hi, both dropbox and google drive appear to corrupt backups, which seems to leave icloud, but i have a lot of music on an external drive which seems to not be feasible with icloud. I'm working in two different locations and would like to have a simple dependable way to have updated stuff on both computers, and would also like to have a dependable cloud backup of 10 years worth of work, without zipping every file etc....Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks very much!!
  6. Thanks for your help. But i'm not clear, how would i focus it only on the sampler, or alchemy etc? Thanks again
  7. Hi, wondering if there's a simple search function to search all logic sampler instruments, alchemy etc in one place? Say i'm looking for a harmonica etc and there might be a garage band version or alchemy etc or a logic sampler version, is there one place that can search all places at once and show the results? Also, is there any kind of simple search function in the Logic Sampler? Where i could just search say Harmonica, without having to guess which sub menu it may or may not be in? Thanks very much for your help.
  8. It did. Thank you very much!
  9. Ok. will try this. Thanks very much for the suggestion!!
  10. Hi, new to using flex pitch and once i've used it on some specific regions, when i continue recording there's a pause while logic is analysing new recordings etc. Is there a way to use flexpitch on some specific regions but once in use , not have it analyzing every new recording which seems tedious? Also, another question issue is, that when i'm in a region and attempting to adjust the drift of a note, at times logic cannot select the drift setting. It instead seems to switch to a different tool? As always, grateful for the help I've steadily gotten from this forum!
  11. Hi, I'd like to create two seperate key commands, one to nudge 32 ticks and the other 64 ticks. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance for your help! Best, John
  12. Thanks for your response triplets. I think my bottle neck may be the fusion drive in my 2017 i7 imac, which should be a relatively strong machine etc.... I did notice a big improvement just running an old ssd i had from a laptop externally, compared to my 7200 speed 4tb usb 3 drive. Do you think 24 gig of ram which is what i have is a bottleneck? Again, thanks!
  13. Hi I was going to get the samsung t5 to run my projects off, but then saw a comparison regarding this INTEL 660P 1TB NVME M.2 SSD which it said to put in an external enclosure. it said read and write speeds on this were 1800 vs 550 on the samsung t5. Does logic take advantage of this amount of drive speed? Would i notice a significant improvement in performance? I've tried to research what logic can take advantage of in terms of speed, but not getting anywhere. Thanks everyone for your help! Best, John
