  1. Thanks for all your help guys, I think offsetting the tempo before it the movie starts maybe the best workaround. The movie position setting in Project settings gets you very close but it still has the offset. You can do the same effect by getting the hand tool - holding down Option and dragging the movie.
  2. Thank you for your help Wonshu, I'll look into that solution a little later
  3. Thanks for your help as always David. That's too bad, I wish the movie wasn't bound to time code and could move freely about like audio.
  4. So I'm trying to align the purple region to the blue region. The movie and its Audio File are represented by the purple region who's SMPTE position displayed ending in "18:57". If I move the movie start position to "18:58" it moves it way too far to the right.
  5. Hi guys, is there a way to move a movie start point and it's audio to a specific place in my timeline. I can drag the movie but it snaps while dragging and frames is the smaller interval it's moving by. So getting it to a specific place on the timeline is not happening. Is there a way to have it stop snapping or have it move by smaller increments (quarter frames, samples, etc)?
  6. I can't get passed having 3-4 instances of the plugin before it crashes my session. I've even created a blank session and the only tracks are the 3 VEP AU3 plugins with the multi-output (25xStereo) option. Initially I had started creating an orchestral template and after a day with the 3 instances, it started saying that the plugin had made the session unstable and forced me to quit Logic. I'm on the latest version of VEP 7 as well.
  7. For anyone who's also getting this, changing the video codec from H.264 to Apple Pro Res and it seems to have fixed the issue, or at least it hasn't happened in 48 hours. It was happening 3-4 times a day before this change. To clarify, I normally export videos out of Pro Tools and import them into Logic to compose and H.264 is the default coming out of ProTools. I never had this problem but upon upgrading my OS to Monterey and Logic version, it started happening. Hopefully, this helps if anyone is having similar issues.
  8. Hey Polanoid, thanks for writing. I think that turning it off is the best possible solution.
  9. Hey friends, I have a workflow question that hopefully someone could help me out it. This is a common scenario I run into: I have a region or midi note selected and the playhead is in another place. Whenever I change the grid denomination (1/4, 16th, etc). Logic moves away from the region/note I was zoomed in on and jumps to the location of the playhead. This also happens when I’m working on a region/note and I click “undo”, it takes me away from where I was working and jumps to wherever the playhead is in the timeline. Is it possible to permanently have logic stop doing this, I find it counterintuitive.
  10. Unfortunately it's back to freezing on a random frame 2 minutes into opening a project. These are all different projects with different mov files imported to the timeline.
  11. Hi David, thanks for your help. I can play the Quicktime mov's outside of Logic and they play normally and as expected. Back to Logic, I've trashed and deleted both of my Logic pref files and the issue seems to have gotten way better. I think it only froze once or twice in the last couple of days. At which point, if I close the session and restart it, then the mov within Logic is fine. Before deleting the prefs, I was right clicking on the movie and choosing "Reset Movie Region" and that would make it work again for a little while. The problem seemed to happen after pressing play/stop over and over about 5-6 times.
  12. I have this same issue. Did anyone find a solution?
  13. Is there a way to exclude "Undo Close/Disclose Track Stack" from the Project Undo History?
