  1. I would be cautious. I use the ENTTEC DMXIS to control lighting and they warned against problems with the new update and USB interfaces. I won't be updating until I hear from them on a fix.
  2. Yeah, I edited my post, was thinking about the midi controller because that bugged me forever that I couldn't get it to work for the guitarist in my band that uses an FCB1010.
  3. Oh wait, now I remember, it has to be side chained in order to use a midi controller with it. Sorry, but I knew I remembered something was a pain in the ass with this. That's why I haven't done it in a while, been using Studio One for the most part recently.
  4. It can be done, but you have to side chain the effect
  5. I'm trying to export a midi drum part I created in the hyper editor. When I open the exported file in other applications there are complete sections missing. I have double checked to make sure the track is merged into one region. Never had this happen before, any ideas as to what's going on? Thanks!
  6. I've only had S1 for about a week now so I can't really comment too in depth. I had tried the demo when it came out and was fairly impressed. Then I sold my Ensemble and bought the Firestudio Live mixer. I love that thing, best purchase I've ever made. So, anyway, I got the upgrade discount then and decided to go with the full version of S1. Functionality is obviously not on par with Logic but I'll tell you what I like. During the whole time I tried the demo (on and off for about a month) and the past week with S1 I have not had one crash. It just works! That is what is so refreshing to me. It's fast, sounds great, looks good, and it just plain works. It is obvious the code is new and they've done a great job. I also love the interface, clean, a bit modern, but not too much. Logic has been my main DAW for a long time, but I also have DP6 and tried a couple stints with Pro Tools. Every one of them has something that drives me crazy, but I have always come back to Logic. To be honest, I have seen enough of S1 that Logic will be my secondary app now. I still can't live without the hyper editor for some things. But 80% of the time I will use S1 for now, maybe more as it develops and the midi gets stronger. I would suggest trying the demo for yourself rather than taking anyone's word for it. The thing that sucks with the demo is you can't save, but you'll get a good enough taste. And as far as I'm concerned, Presonus has been on a roll lately. They hit the perfect price for value/quality point and they keep coming up with fresh new ideas it seems.
  7. Thanks for the link, but now I'm really getting pissed. You have to enter your serial number, which I have done several times, checked it over and over again for accuracy and it keeps telling me it is not a valid serial number. I'm looking right at the sticker on the install manual that came with my Logic Studio Upgrade package. This combined with the memory usage problems have me at my wits end. I bought Studio One last week and have really been digging it. Looks like that is becoming my go to DAW now.
  8. I started another post and didn't realize this one had started. I'm having the same problem. The other interesting thing is that I did the update from 9.0 to 9.01 but Logic still says it is 9.0 Not sure what's going on.
  9. Logic says I am currently running 9.0 and when I try to update to 9.02 it says my computer doesn't need this update. Any ideas? Thanks! MacPro Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.8 OSX 10.5.8
  10. Why'd you have to go and show us that and then say the guy lost them?? That is the best looking GUI for logic I've seen. Good luck to your friend in finding the files and please do share when (and if) he does. just to envy you No but isnt it bloody awesome? The meterleds are sowwwww phat. I did use the little send rotaries edgar converted and the metal plate in the empty eq space (many thanks) but sill missing the metering and pan rotaries. If you would be so kind to convert/make em as on the exampel I posted earlier Edgar, you will rock even harder as you do now hehe Yes, I agree, I really like those Meter LED's. Hope someone can come up with those also.

  12. Why are you using 2 keyboards and wanting to sustain simultaneously? That sounds like you are just layering the sounds. Why not assign both sounds to the same keyboard? However, to answer your question, yes you can do that. You just have to make sure both keyboards and the pedal are assigned to the same device and channel.
  13. This might be a little involved for you, but here's something I would do to get all sounds in one patch. 1) Set up 3 keyboards in your layout 2) Assign each one to channel 1, 2, 3 respectively 3) In Edit mode assign Pfte channel strip to keyboard 1 (Korg) 4) In Edit mode assign Pad channel strip to keyboard 2 (Axiom - Midi Channel 2) 5) In Edit mode assign Cembalo channel strip to keyboard 3 (Axiom - Midi Channel 3) 6) Put the Axiom in Zone mode. Then when you press 1-4 it changes the midi channel. Press 2 for Pad and 3 to switch to the Cembalo sound.
