  1. This is a genuine bug, and is easily replicated; right click on the Catch Playhead button and disable all options. While Logic is playing back, zoom in on a MIDI region in the Piano roll before or after the playhead, and click onto a note. It sometimes takes several clicks onto various notes, but the Catch Playhead button enables itself mysteriously, and the current view in the Piano Roll jumps to the current playhead position (annoyingly moving away from your current editing position). I've reported this to Apple ...I hope this is fixed soon, people are losing their minds over this.
  2. Bug confirmed here. The moment the Library is opened Melodyne freezes with a spinning rainbow wheel and you must force quit Logic.
  3. This most definitely is a bug. I tried it in the 10.10.1 pre-release and it's still happening. I reported it through the feedback form.
  4. Thank-you Sam! . It certainly didn't hurt teaching a very sharp and talented person like yourself. Thrilled about this review and also that you got a lot out of the class.
  5. Hi Eric, Yes it was Massive not RingShifter. RingShifter doesn't yet receive MIDI CC directly. Your right that I used MIDI FX Modulator with Modifier. First I placed Modulator and set it's "To" setting to General Purpose MIDI CC 16. Then I placed a MIDI FX Modifier directly under it with it's Input Event and Re-Assign To parameters set to the same GP 16 CC #. You can scale the data obviously with the Scale Slider, and if you want to raise the "floor" of the data you use the "Add" slider. Hope that helps! - Darren
  6. "Flatten" the MIDI regions on the track your bouncing in place (ALL THE REGIONS on the track)_..after I did this, it bounced track in place correctly, and placed the newly created audio file below it. Sounds like a work-around yes, but it will now work.
  7. Thanks BC and David, I was definitely going for the groove and mood yes. I primarily used a multi out UltraBeat for the drums. I synthesized the kick and various other sounds myself. The bass (both of them!) are my own patches from ES2, I used TOGU Audio's SH101 clone: TAL bass line for one of the leads, and Absynth for another. Some of the effects I used were the Waves SSL strip, Clip Distortion, and Space designer, Sonalksis TBK1, and Sugarbytes Effextrix. Darren
  8. Hi everyone, I rarely post here, but I do teach the Electronic and Dance Music Production in Logic Pro 8 class for David. Here's a cool new track I just finished. Those of you who know me (and my sound) will be very surprised! If you have questions about it, feel free to ask away, otherwise enjoy, and I'll see some of you at my next class! -Darren Burgos http://idisk.mac.com/darrenb-Public/Psychokinesis.m4a
  9. I had a great time, glad to hear you did too! Thanks for the awesome comments -Darren
  10. Exact same problem here. Did you ever find a solution instead of a workaround? Darren
