are your 3rd-party plugins up-to-date? have you considered updating logic to 10.8.1? what happens if you copy the project to your desktop? does that have the same issue? just some thoughts... -
so much whining for what is a free upgrade. and raise your hand if you've actually sat down with LP 11 and worked yet... i am getting all my work done in 10.8.1. if anything is better in 11 (or there's just new features and the rest feels the same as 10.8.1)... that's pretty great. my thoughts, of course

there are many types of people. i'm: 234 - loves change as it keeps things exciting, and doesn't see forward motion as a backwards step at all...

happy to deal with this if/when it becomes essential. but for all other (not apple) platforms, there would need to be a standard, so until spotify et all adopt dolby atmos (or apple, lol, adopts a different universal standard), it's a non-issue.

so many people i know live on spotify, so atmos mixes seem... superfluous (for me). but i am very-much looking forward to checking out the 'studio assistants', and will definitely at least play with the 'session drummer'. he/she better be good, or they're fired. mostly, just hoping LP 11 is fast and stable, and (dare i say it) hope it feels good to work with.

you've seen it, tried it? does it run well? is it stable? how does it sound? are there bug fixes? do some of the new features matter, ie is there better pitch correction? does smart tempo work well? i don't understand why anyone makes a judgement before they've tried something. anyway, as far as i can see, garageband is currently garageband pro for garageband users... and logic pro is logic... pro... 👍

got it. yeah, i will not use the sessions players, chord track, etc. def interested in stemsplitter, smart tempo. want to see how AI works with pitch correction, etc. anyway, will be fun to explore. and because i am mid-project, i will, for the first time ever... keep the current logic as well. 🤯

i find that interesting. a plugin management app is more interesting or valuable to you than new features, enhancements (for, you know, making music) and hopefully bug fixes (and/or lol, new bugs). just a guess, but am willing to bet that LP 11 is built over LP 10, and all (or most) 3rd-party plugins will be fine. still, of course, we'll see.. anywaym may 13, am going in.......

am in the middle of mixing a band's EP, so... perfect time to upgrade logic! 🤣 (but maybe this time i'll keep 10.8.1... 🤔) def gonna install & try all my current work in 11. nice to see the stem thing, & excited to explore all that's new... EDIT: may 13? that's almost a week away... 😳

last year, my friend gregg discussed his setup, asked if i thought he should "update my OS, or not" and i said 'absolutely'. i meant to not update, and he thought i mean he should update. fortunately, all is well... 🤣
