  1. I just upgraded Logic Pro 10.4.8 to 10.5.1. However, my plugin preferences are calling out plugins (unlicensed) that I disabled in 10.4.8. When I checked the plugin manager, the plugins (unlicensed) I don't use are not checked, but still come up when I launch Logic in which I have to click through a myriad unlicensed plugin prompts. is there a plugin preferences file that needs to be deleted? and where is it located?
  2. What I do is commit the 808 track to audio i.e. "Bounce in Place", then use the marquee tool to highlight the regions I want to mute, and right click on the highlighted region and select mute.
  3. Ok. It looks like I'll have to buy the boxed version for $499 that will work with 10.6.7 and save $500 by still being able to use my Symphony 32 card .
  4. I just upgraded from a G5 Dual 1.8 GHz Mac Pro Quad core (Xeon). In that. I would like to upgrade to LP9 from LP8 on OS 10.6.7 since I'm revision constrained by supporting my Apogee Symphony 32 system. Will LP9 play nice with 10.6.7 ? and does the download version of LP9 have all the LPRO features with the exception of Apple Loops (which I don't use), and MainStage ?
  5. I've use my MPC2000 with Logic 8 for a few months and it works pretty well, but now there's a problem when using external midi tracks. All the midi data from the MPC goes to the highlighted track when a external midi track exists in the arrange window. I don't have a problem when only using instrument tracks.
  6. Where do you have your buffering set at? The sweet spot should be 256.
  7. For years I've been using Logic exclusively for sequencing using Battery, Ultrabeat, BFD2, and GURU. However I do use my MPC 2000 from time to time for the feel. As a producer, I like to change my approach to composing and arranging to keep it fresh, so now I've configured my setup to use the MPC as controller/sequencer where I sequence the main rhythm parts in the MPC triggering VIs in logic. Once the basic rhythm parts are done in the MPC I dump the midi info into Logic to complete the arrangement. This workflow gives me the best of both worlds and the feel only an MPC can give.
  8. I'm using my MPC 2000 with Logic and everything is working just except when I switch to the next midi channel on the MPC the channel strip volume jumps to +6dB. It seems like my MPC is sending a midi volume (127) message, but I don't know how to disable it. Please help.
  9. Notes get stuck when I use midi over USB to my Roland V-Synth -XT. I have to change the patch on the V-synth to reset the midi message to the V-synth. Anyone else have this problem? I'm out of regular midi ports on my FW-1884, so I have to use USB. LP8 10.4.11 G5 Dual 1.8GHz 3GB Ram
  10. Does this mean disabling plug-ins on the main out or all tracks?
  11. Prior to mixing down a project in Logic 8 I wanted to record some audio loops from Stylus RMX OTB through some outboard and back in to Logic. Well that was fine, but when I played the audio track of the loops they were not in sync the original loop played by Stylus. There was some serious flamming going on. Shouldn't the audio loop and the midi sequenced of Stylus almost cancel each other ?
  12. I'm able to sync my MPC and Yamaha ES8 to Logic and record 2 to 4 bar patterns of drums or synth parts, but when I assemble the regions in loops I find that the beginning of the regions are cut-off slightly and I get a click at the leading edge of the looped region. I'm I having a midi clock delay issue with Logic?
  13. You probably need the multi-out patch for Guru the supports Logic 8.
  14. Melodyne will let you drag to the wrong pitch if you turn pitch snap "OFF".
