  1. Hi. Thanks, that will be very useful for my drum tracking. But I'm still not clear on how you drag only specific notes between midi tracks. Whenever I select just some note and then drag from one track to the next it copies all the notes in the region.
  2. Hi, all. bit of a noob question, but I'm still getting up to speed on Logic 9, having used Digital Performer for years. I'm used to tracking virtual drums on one track, then when I'm done I select all of a single note, i.e. kick drum, and I drag them onto a similar track, until I have split up the original drum track among several tracks so I can then easily record all the drums into audio solo. I see how to select all of one note in logic, but I'm not clear on how to drag just those note events into another track. Thanks for your assistance
  3. Hello. I am new to Logic. I am trying to figure out how to send bank/program changes to my Blofeld on an external midi track. If I double click on the name of the track, for a brief moment it opens up a window that shows device name, short device name, bank and bank message, underneath lists program names, which are all generic. In the top left of the window is an options drop down. If I double click and keep holding the mouse button, the window will stay open, but I can't click on anything in it, and the moment I release the button it disappears. I know I'm missing something. I've been using Digital Performer for more than a decade, so some of how Logic works is alien to me. I'm also wondering if there is any more documentation than just the program help and the little books it came with. It seems like a program this deep should come with a big tome of a manual, but I know that's never been Apple's style. Thanks for any assistance.
  4. Is there a way to draw bezier curves, parabolas or splines onto midi data in the hyper editor? I'm coming from Digital Performer where I use that feature regularly.
  5. Hello. After a year of frustration and low productivity with Digital Performer 6.02, I've recently purchased Logic, since it seems Logic 9 is getting pretty good reviews from long time Logic users. Anyone have experience with moving a project from DP to Logic? Would the OMF or the AAF interchange formats be the way to go? If I use OMF, what would be involved in importing all the midi tracks into Logic? At the moment, none of my current projects have much audio to transfer, but there is a ton of VI's that I'll have to reinstantiate in Logic. Thanks.
