  1. Bumping in the hopes that someone will reply with an answer, thanks.
  2. Would someone please explain the reason for the number of tracks in the Studio Horns 3-Piece Section and their functions? See image. Track 1: Hell's Kitchen. From what I understand the user could play 3 note chords in this track and the top note will play the Trumpet, middle plays Tenor Sax, and the Bottom will play the Trombone. Track 2: Hell's Kitchen. Appears to be the same function as track one. If so, why a second track? Tracks 3, 4, & 5 appear to be separate tracks for each instrument. I assume this is to use different effects processing for each instrument? It appears they can all be used at once, making at least 9 instruments simultaneously (3 on track 1, 3 on track 2, 1 each on tracks 3, 4, & 5). I'd like to get a better understanding of the purpose of how best to use this instrument. Thanks.
  3. When recording with my Kemper Amp Profiler the audio would be in the center of the track. See figure 1. Recently while recording with an Atomic Amps Amplifire, I notice the audio is off center, almost as if it's recording two channels but only on one side. See figure 2. I've checked the preferences of the Amplifire, and it's outputs are in stereo. I've tried changing the settings from mono to stereo and back, but the audio always looks the same after recording. What exactly is going on here?
  4. I've noticed that some of my tracks have little grey numbers in brackets next to them. Would someone please explain what they are for, and why they only appear on some tracks? Thanks!
  5. I'm a guitarist with a BA in Music. I've been sort of a hired gun for the past few years but lately I've been getting into the composition thing. I'd love to meet and collaborate with other musicians, even if it's only to strengthen my composition skills. Lately I've been focusing on Acid Jazz, Melvin Sparks, Monophonics, etc. Feel free to send me a message if interested.
  6. Thanks Eric, do you use it a lot with your projects? Sorry if it's a dumb question, just looking for something to help generate ideas when composing music.
  7. With all of Logic's built in loops, would I still need Stylus RMX? Does it enhance your workflow? If so, how? I'm a guitarist looking to record projects in the style of Acid Jazz, Grant Green, Melvin Sparks, etc. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  8. Last night I stopped into my local Guitar Center. I ended up leaving with the new Oxygen 25 for $99. They were blowing out the older version for $50, but they wouldn’t accept returns on it if anything went wrong, so I just went with the new one. I wanted to check out the Alesis Photon 25, as David had high marks for it, but that thing is hard to find! Both Guitar Center and Musician’s friend didn’t carry it. I even contacted Alesis, but never got a response. Finally last night I found one for sale on Ebay for $150 so I bought it. I figured I have 30 days to return the Oxygen so when the Alesis arrives I’ll just bring it back. That’s funny, he he. I have to agree. I was surprised that the Oxygen feels about the same as the Yamaha PSR-310 I bought back in 1993. But since I’m new to Midi Controllers, I guess it serves it’s purpose well enough.
  9. Hi, I'm a guitarist who records primarily at home. I would like to buy a basic 25 key midi controller. I don't need anything that crazy, just something that I can use to step imput midi. I was thinking either the Axiom Pro 25 or Axiom 25 Ignite. Are these any good? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to keep it under $500 if possible. Thanks, Dana
  10. Awesome guys, thanks for the help. Funny, I posted the same question over on the AXE FX II forum. They responded with, 'It's a bug in Logic."
  11. That's it David, it's the Axe Fx causing it. Now I need to figure out how to get it to stop.
  12. When I select a track the panning control begins to slowly move clockwise. If I select another track the original track stops panning, but the new selected track starts doing it. Any suggestions what the problem could be? I don't have any midi instruments hooked up. Only an Axe Fx II. What could the problem be? This happens on new projects where there is no automation.
