Yes Ruari, thats what i am trying to achieve, to be able to use faders within Logic mixer to control volume for each Virus part. Its easier on Hardware multi instruments coz the multi inst in the Environment allows u to make 16 channels each. Something similar should be possible no ?

Hmmm, i didn't realize this would be such a huge deal. The Virus Control does respond to note info on individual channels, it woudl have been really nice if we could just access individual volume and pan from Logic's mixer like other multi instruments. Sorry, didn't quite understand the multi edit workaround, will look into it. Adjusting vol from within the Virus Control plug-in isn't very intuitive but i can live with it given the other awesome features and comfort. No possibility of creating something in the environment which could connect to the volume faders within Virus Control ? Thanks

I have setup Virus Control as a Multi Timbral Instrument in Logic (not Multi audio channel!) I can sequence and playback different patches on different midi channels, however i cannot get volume control via logic on these channels. How can i setup up Viris Control as a Multi Instrument and get individual volume control from the mixer or arrange page. Currently, i set volumes within Virus Control on individual parts. Any help with this please ? I cant find the answer. I am not looking for multiple outputs from Virus, just individual control over the volume on the individual midi channels. Thanks

Sorry for posting those links, as i mentioned i wasn't quite clear about the legality. I really wish Apple would keep dmg's in their archive.

I was gonna post a link then wondered if providing links to illegal dl sites was wrong....... but here is what i found in the search and it worked for me.........again, just use the dmg file. After DLing and unzipping, u will get 2 folders. Disregard the second one, i guess thats the crack. The first should have the 9.1.5 dmg. Dunno how the install works for guys already on 9.1.6. I was updating from 9.1.1 and it worked just fine. [Links to illegally distributed copyrighted software were removed by the site admin] All of them link to the same i think. The first one worked for me.....

Guys i can provide a link, i have it saved. I had to DL the 9.1.5 update dmg from a dodgy torrent site. key, is use teh dmg but dont use the "volume license " which is the crack, the dmg is just a copy of the original so its the real deal. Apple should keep these in their archive, not cool to force people onto versions. Just search google for "Logic Pro9.1.5 update only" ........ u'll figure it out form there..... Working just fine for me. Just use the dmg only, not the crack. Hope this helps.

i actually never did update to 10.6.8 and 9.1.5, was going to this over the weekend. I have a time machine backup of my current system, 10.6.3 and LP9.1.1, reverting back still won't solve my issue as i'm after TouchOSC support which starts from 9.1.2 and above. 9.1.5 / 10.6.8 seems to be working well for people. Hopefully someone might have the dmg saved.......

So i finally decided to update to OS10.6.8 and Logic Pro 9.1.5 and now its not available on Apple anymore. I don't want to dive into 9.1.6 just yet, can someone please sort me out with a 9.1.5 update dmg ?? The ones available through Google seem like cracked versions...... Am gonna save these dmg's from now on.........not cool that Apple forces versions on customers as different configs work for different systems. Missed it by a day! I read on the Hexlar forums that the TouchOSC Logic template requires OSculater. So it does not support CoreMidi ? I was interested in iRig Midi and having my iPad wired to my MBP and iMac......wifi is fine for studio use but for live situations i would rather use a hardwired midi connection. BTW, how reliable is the ipad/TouchOSC combo. I am interested in speeding up and keeping my workflow consistent, not bogged down by tech support and troubleshooting...... Please advice. Strictly for Logic control surface usage, which app is the deepest and most comprehensive. The Logic template, especially with the Chanel Strip page looks awesome. V-Control pro looks cool too but i dont know if its that deep or not. Opinions please.... Thanks! Faisal

Hey CCT, thanks for the suggestion. I don't quite understand how exactly to go about this. How can archive the current version ? Also, when we install updates, does it install a fresh version ? meaning there would be 2 Logic Apps in my apps folder ? Wouldn't that cause conflicts or errors ?

That's good to know. I did search the web extensively and the majority vote is that 9.1.5 is working as expected which is assuring. BTW, why doesn't apple keep dmg's of the various Logic updates in there archive for download ? I can only find the Logic Pro 9.1.5 update or the Logic 9.1.0 update........nothing in the middle. They would be useful to revert back if needed.

I bought an iPad to use as a control surface but LP only supports OSC starting from 9.1.2 . I run 9.1.1 and OS 10.6.3 and haven't felt the need to update as my system is very stable. Is it safe to update ? Thanks
