  1. I have Logic Pro X 10.2.4 but thought I would get rid of my full CD version of Logic 9. Seeing as I purchased Logic Pro X online and downloaded it a few yrs ago, will selling Logic 9 affect my current setup?
  2. Great , I'm glad it worked. Perhaps you can then tell me what is meant by power-off then. In Logic documentation, they talk about a "power on/off symbol", but I could not locate such a button anywhere on my tracks! (and I do have the "Advanced tools" switch on in my general settings). Sorry, I tried 10X posting a screengrab (jpg, tiff)...and it rarely works for me. Not sure why.

In Logic documentation, they talk about a "power on/off symbol", but I could not locate such a button anywhere on my tracks! (and I do have the "Advanced tools" switch on in my general settings). If you right click on the track you'll see ' Configure Track Header' This where you can turn on/off various controls. The first button is Power on/off.
  4. Thanks for this..it worked! It's in a roundabout way from before but that's fine for now.
  5. Yeah, unfortunately, that only selects the 1st track.
  6. I specifically record Voiceovers and I recently messed up 1 of my Key Commands. So, when I have for ex: 15 tracks recorded and I only need to export 5 of them, I would normally select 1 track and then 'Shift+select' the 5th track within the Track Header below it and all 5 tracks would highlight allowing me to 'Export all tracks as Audio Files' individually. And the balance 5 files would remain muted. Now when I do that, for some reason, it recognizes all 10 tracks (even the 5 muted ones) and I don't want that. I need to be able to multi-select only what I need to Export. I think it has something to do with the 'Mute' function..cuz that's what I was looking at in the Key Commands Menu...must have inadvertently changed something. Argghhh...!! Thx, Matt
  7. there are so many variables, i don't think anyone can guarantee you anything. if you want to upgrade, wait until you have some downtime (ie holidays perhaps), just to play it safe...in case you have to troubleshoot anything. the good news is...developers are updating plugins etc for 10.11. and there are resources (like this forum) to find fixes if need be. just my thoughts (of course). 8) Yeah, it's always disconcerting when this type of thing arises. You want to upgrade the OS, (even though this is primarily maintenance fixes)...but eventually, I'm going to have to. Just don't know what AI to go with since I use this for Voice overs only. Have to do some research.
  8. Thx Eric.. All is good now.
  9. So, that's working, thx. I was playing around with Keyboard shortcuts yesterday and that's what happened. But now, I have 1 other issue. When I would multi-select several tracks and hit 'M' they would all Mute or Unmute. Now, only 1 track at a time is working. How can I revert back? Thx.
  10. Yes, I did...Ok, here they are. Thx Eric.
  11. So after reading a bunch of these posts, is it safe to say I CAN update to El Capitan and will have no issues with my Duet (FW)? All the posts I read, said it worked fine after the update. Yet, I'm am still skeptical since I use this for business and I can't afford for my Studio to be down. Thx.
  12. Sorry friends...I tried .tiff, .jpeg. .jpg, .tif. nothing worked. Under FAQ, tried to see what extensions are accepted and couldn't find anything. Hence, I tried pdf and it seemed to accept it. So what extension should I use?
  13. I've got a real simple one. I somehow added that first icon,(which turns the track ON/OFF) in front of the Mute button...not sure how I did it. See the before and after pics. Can anyone tell me to where I would find this setting? Thx as always! Matt
