Hi djeans, I have no solutions for your issue. Just came here to let you know I faced the exact same issue with my hackintosh (x79-up4 / i7 4930K / nvidia gtx ) too. Mavericks was rock solid. This issue started showing after I upgraded to El Capitan, and later in Sierra too. I searched for a solution for months without any success. I couldn't use El Capitan or Sierra well over 6 months after I first updated. Luckily I had Mavericks in another SSD. It became quite a hobby for me for months to search the web for a solution. But I never found it. Btw, Now I am using Sierra without any of those issues. I have absolutely no Idea what solved the problem. Only thing I remember changing hardware wise is my monitors. Previously I was using a 40 inch tv with HDMI and a computer monitor with DVI. Later I replaced them with a pair of HP monitors, both with HDMI to DVI converters. I am a bit reluctant to accept that solved my issues, but I have no other clues. Your console screenshot is very familiar to me.LOL. Anyway, I am still looking for a logical answer. Sorry for the long reply, but I couldn't help since i know exactly what you are going through. Wish you good luck.

I am having this issue in Sierra and El Capitan, only in Logic 10.3. Everything else works just fine. I am still in Mavericks cause that's working flawlessly for me. But I want to switch to El Capitan/Sierra to use the latest version of Logic Pro. Logic (in sierra/el capitan) goes silent randomly while playing just a single apple loop. But I can play a logic stock instrument while the loop has gone silent. Sometimes the instrument goes silent but the loop carries on sounding. Pausing and playing again solves the issue temporarily. Other DAWs do not exhibit this issue. Googling the issue, I found out quite a few Premier Pro users facing the exact same issue.

Hi Is there a way to change midi channel in the external instrument plugin or in the external midi track other than using the mouse? Thanks

I am trying to perform some editing on a track in the main window while keep another main window focused on another track. View>Link>Off seems not doing what it supposed to do. What am i missing? Thanks you.

Thanks. Your suggestions make sense. Sorry for not clarifying my situation enough. The client will use the music as their company caller back tune. It's the tune you hear when waiting for someone to receive the call. Seems like the audio file specification i mentioned earlier is a telecommunication standard or somthing.

Thanks Eriksimon. Actually i have an application to convert the audio file to that format. But my enquiry was, is it possible to cleverly compose/mix the music to get the optimum quality.

Hi... I have been asked to deliver an audio file in 64 kbps bit rate wave format. Some googling revealed, i have to export the wave into 8 bit 8 Khz mono to get it in 64 kbps. Please correct me if i am wrong. But problem is, it sounds horrible as expected at that bitrate. So, it'll be a great help to get some suggestion about how to arrange the music (what instruments to exclude what frequency to cut etc.... ) to get it sound a little better at lower bit rates. Thank you.

I am also trying to find an app or something to monitor the chords i'm playing. There are thousands of midi applications out there but couldn't find a simple thing like that chord monitor attached to the transport bar of logic...

Ok... sorry to confuse you but i didn't expected you to notice so soon ... One more thing, about your second post, to my experience no additional routing is required. You just have to keep Kontakt open in standalone mode. Logic will record and play midi from Kontakt. This way it is possible to apply Kontakt scripts to logic instruments or any other third party instruments for that matter.... This is an excellent discovery....
