  1. Hey guys, maybe a stupid question but i cant seem to find the area where I can edit my profile. I want to change my user name if possible..any ideas?
  2. Hey guys, Using a Korg M50 (Slave) - Logic Pro 8 (Master). When I record MIDI into Logic using the M50 sounds it plays back fine. However when I record each track to Audio there is a pre-delay of exactly 1 beat (4/4 44.1 KHZ) How can I rectify this issue, I believe I have to add some sort of compensation, but have NO IDEA how to do so. I have heard of delay in these circumstances but not pre-delay? can it be the Korg or Logic, that is the question.. Much appreciated, RD
  3. We aren't discussing bouncing. Bouncing doesn't create a new track for you. When you say "it doesnt record the MIDI on bar", I'm not sure what you mean. You're not recording MIDI, you're recording audio. Sorry, I meant recording midi to audio. Basically everytime I start recording each track, it starts recording just before the MIDI track that I am recording from strta, therefore when I play it back it doesnt loop as it should! So in otherwords its off bar! Hope this makes sense..
  4. You don't. Create a new audio track. Set its input to the inputs the M50 audio outs are plugged into. Record arm this track. Go back to your MIDI tracks and mute all of them except one. Press record. The one MIDI part will play the M50 and the audio will be recorded on that audio track. Hey Fader, that works. Cheers mate! When I bounce it to audio though, it doesnt record the MIDI on bar. It starts recording a little before it should. Is that a bug or is their a way to sort that out? Dont really wanna have to edit the audio clips after bouncing.?? Thanks again, RD
  5. Which part of this: ...are you having trouble with? Since you have the limitation of only one stereo out on the M50, you'll need to record just one "part" at a time. Each to its own audio track. My question is, I know how to record just one part @ a time in MIDI. Thats fine. But exactly HOW do I make each MIDI track an "audio track"??
  6. The M50 is a hardware synth. I recently had a student who bought one of these. The editing plug-in it comes with is very handy. If tempo sync is needed, eg for arpeggitors, delays, LFO's, etc, then I believe the M50 can sync to MIDI clock. Just send clock to that port and set the M50 for external clock. Hey thanks mate, Ok. the sync/tempo issues with the EXS have been sorted out. So thanks for that. The problem I face now is actually bouncing the MIDI tracks (Sounds from M50, but recorded in Logic) into AUDIO tracks for a mix..If you can help, please if you can let me know EXACTLY what I need to do to sort this out. Probably straight fwd, Im just being dumb! So apologies in advance.. Cheers, RD
  7. Not really. Maybe if you describe what you want to achieve musically, we could suggest a way for you to get there. Hey, Ok Ive sorted out the EXS sync issues so thanks for your help on that. Basically I want to be able use M50 sounds in conjunction with Logic. So use M50 sounds to record a sequence within Logic. Then I want to export all the midi tracks to audio for mixing! I have tried File > Export > Track as Audio file as I normally do, but it exports nothing.
  8. Yes, Im trying to play the EXS in sequence mode.Basically using the M50 as a controller for my Logic instruments @ the same time recording M50 sounds on corresponding Midi channels in Logic. Hope I explained correctly, kinda new to the external synth thing! Thanks
  9. Just a quickie, using my Korg M50 with Logic Pro8, so I set up a 16 channel multi-timbral project, as you do! I would like to know, how do I seperate each track so I can mix them individual, apply effects etc. I try and add a reverb or something and it applies the same effect to ALL 16 channels. Im pulling my hair out as we speak! Cheers guys, RD[/b]
  10. Hey, Recently purchased an M50 and I must say is a great piece of equipment. However having a few issues with the syncing in Logic Pro 8. Hope someone can help me out so i can start working properly with my baby!! It sets up fine, I've installed the plug in and Logic recognizes it, but when I sequence a beat, any sounds from the M50 work fine and record, but then when I try and use an EX24 Instrument using the M50 as the controller, it records and plays fine, but if I close the project, open it again, the EX24 instruments are out of sync and start playing @ a different tempo? Very mind boggling.. Someone pleaaaassee!! Cheers RD
