  1. Drats! Ok. Thank you guys for the helpful responses. I guess I'll just spend a little extra time with the pitch modulators. I will also look into the link you provided. Cheers!
  2. Hello and good day! I am relatively new to using sampling within my recordings. I can put my audio file(s) into the ESX24 and sample at different pitches using different keys on my controller, but this also affects the tempo of the samples playback. Is there anyway to place the sample on multiple keys and be able to use the different keys to change the note of the sample without changing the speed that it plays back? Thank you in advance for any help that you can provide.
  3. Cool deal, guys. Thanks for the info. I do realize that I am running my setup far below professional standards. I am familiar with the "correct" way of recording guitars, I just lack the gear and funds to do so. I will look into another method of running my mixer to the Mac. Again, thank you for the responses.
  4. My current flow is as follows... Guitar > Behringer Xenyx1204FX Mixer (via 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch) > MacBook Pro (via 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch, from Phones out to mac input.) Is there a better, or more appropriate way to do this in order to get a better signal or sound, in general? Is a DI Box still necessary even with my mixer having a pre-amp? On another note; Does anyone have any recommendations for a really good sounding guitar amp plug-in that sounds great, without a bunch of excess noise?
  5. Thanks a bunch! Is this the limit for assigning different inputs on individual tracks?
  6. I am trying to track vocals while playing guitar. I have my guitar inserted to channel one on my external mixer, and my microphone inserted into channel two on my external mixer. How can I get them to record at the same time, but on their own tracks in logic?
  7. Cool, dudes... I am satisfied with the responses I've received. Thank you all for the help.
  8. Thanks for the replies. I guess what I am looking for is a function or plug-in that will allow you to grab any one part of a wave to correct only a small section of a region to your liking. Like if the vocalist performed well all the way up until one word. If just that word ended up flat or sharp, I would only want control over that piece of the audio.
  9. Hey guys! Nice to meet you all. This is my first post, so take it easy on me please. My question is... Is there a pitch correction function in logic pro 9? I am not talking about auto tune, or the actual "pitch correction" plug-in... Is there a way to do it manually, so that you have total control over the vocal track to change the pitch in any desired place of the track to any desired pitch on the scale?
