  1. thank you- is there a way to make the delay not pulsate but instead sustain that I can set to cut after x number of seconds?
  2. that's what I was looking for- thanks David- any idea on how to set the tape delay effect to mimic that? thanks-
  3. thanks for the input- I guess a delay would be the closest to what I am trying to do here-
  4. anyone know of a way to sustain an electric guitar, not midi, through Logic or any other means - I am aware of compressor pedals but I'm interested in a way to keep the sustain after removing my hand from the fretboard
  5. right, and so I am curious to hear people that have done this "well" capturing that old-school vibe
  6. I'm sure this has been discussed before here but there is something about the way the pulse of a song moves when live musicians are reacting to each other- to me it seems like very small reactions and changes in dynamics that combine to create a result greater than the sum of its parts-
  7. no, using sampler instruments- I am not sure that I have ever heard this accomplished via midi- I'm curious if it even can be done convincingly- I suppose this gets into the whole aesthetics of sequenced vs live musicians discussion, but I would be interested in hearing if someone has done it "well"
  8. thanks for the distortion tip - I am familiar with Ronson's work on the second WInehouse album but I'm not sure there was much midi going on there -
  9. I am talking about production using midi instruments only- any names come to mind for producers?
  10. I'm curious if this is even possible- anyone know of anybody coming close to achieving an old school 60's soul sound using all midi- To my ears it seems everything was recorded at very hot levels- just to the point of clipping, if not indeed actually clipping- the sound of the room feels especially important too- any tips for (re)producing this via midi ?

    Auto-Wah Settings

thank you- I'll have to mess around with the delay plugs-
  12. anyone know how to set up a good auto-wah sound in Logic? something clean sounding like the McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time
