  1. Hello, I have returned to an old project that is several years old and and some of the live audio tracks are playing back transposed down a 4th from 'G' down to 'D'. The live vocal audio tracks are in the correct key of 'G' but the live acoustic guitar tracks are all playing back in 'D'. Software instrument tracks are correct. It's not the end of the world as the tracks are going to be redone, but it would be nice as I'm fixing things to have them playback in the correct key. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks. Lautarese
  2. Problem Solved. That got it. Thanks Triplets. Jason
  3. Hello Atlas, Thanks for the tip but I already used the Cycle Mode setting the beginning of the cycle at Marker 0 and encompassing the whole track that I wanted to export and that didn't work.
  4. Hello, I keep trying to export one of my tracks as a wav audio track and it's leaving out the pickup to the instrumental part I'm exporting. I need the export to start at Marker 0 and it's starting at Marker 1. The actual recorded material doesn't start until the pickup to Marker 1. Here's what I've tried to do in order to start the export at Marker 0: I have created a punch-in region that starts at Marker 0 I have made sure the tempo starts at Marker 0 I have done a punch-in record that starts at Marker 0 on this track. It wasn't done live. I just hit the record and had it stop before the material I want starts I have tried pasting audio material onto this track that starts at Marker 0 just so the export will start at that point None of this has worked. Thanks, Lautarese
  5. Problem Solved! Thanks danyg. Your suggestion gave me another idea. I exported the track as an audio file and then dragged and dropped it into the new project. No transposition! I am not going to try and figure out why it transposed in the first place but thanks again for you help!! Best, Jason
  6. Hello, I have an audio track that I wanted to copy and paste from one project to another project. After doing so it was transposed down from G major to D major. All effects are off from the original. No effects on the new project track. And why a perfect 4th down?? Luckily I'm going to be redoing these tracks but I wanted the old version just for reference. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, best. Jason
  7. Thanks! Enjoy your Thanksgiving in Brooklyn. Jason
  8. Hello, After much cajoling by my engineer, ( and a host of other Logic 10 users), I'm looking into making the transition from Logic 9 to 10. In order to do so I will have to update my OS. I'm presently running OS 10.7.5. Some suggest that one should update in steps. First to El Capitan, then to Sierra. Any suggestions? Also, if I can make the upgrade, will I encounter any problems exporting my projects from Logic 9 to Logic 10. I'm assuming my custom key commands will be lost as well as other settings. And finally, anyone know what the upgrade to Logic 10 costs. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all. Lautarese
  9. Thanks those are great suggestions. I have actually done both those before but it's not something I kept in the front of my memory. I don't consider either one of them voodoo especially if one of them works. Then it sound science! I can't deal with it right now as I am facing hurricane Matthew. Thanks again, best, Jason
  10. Yes I think I am going to live with it. This song has many tracks and I would not relish the task of having to copy and paste them. I can't thank you enough for trying to figure it out. There is also the possibility that one day I will open the project and the problem will be gone As sometimes it happens with computers. Thanks again, Jason
  11. Correct and only for dragging and undragging trscks
  12. And another twist. Before the screen turns grey, the cursor goes from the Pointer Tool to Marquis Tool, the drag is executed and the cursor goes back to Pointer.
  13. I have determined two things: It doesn't happen on a new project It only happens when dragging tracks using Undo drag or Redo drag either through the Edit dropdown menu or key command. Other edit commands and keyboard commands are fine. It is solely related to undoing or redoing the dragging of tracks. I also decided to freeze a fair amount of tracks to see if it would make a diff and that was unsuccessful too.
  14. The only problem with trying to point it to just key commands is that it also happens when I use the mouse in the drop-down edit window Help Mr. Wizard!!
