  1. From memory, all the markers went a kind of ghost light-gray color and their title wasn't showing. I couldn't select them or do anything. So I saved/restarted and they were all gone.
  2. I did "Edit | Cut/Insert Time | Cut Section Between Locators" and selected the 1st bar or so
  3. I just deleted the 1st bar of my project and LogicX kindly deleted all my markers (10 or so) for the remainder of the 3-4min project. All of them gone. Could this somehow make sense or is it just one of those new passing bugs I have to ignore?
  4. I have created a stack and have (as far as I'm concerned) 2 tracks in it. Tracks 5 & 6 pictured. There's a 3rd track below (track 7) which is empty, not even part of the stack and as far as I'm concerned, can be deleted. But if I delete it, tracks 5 & 6 stop playing. If I mute track 7, 6 is muted as well. What have I done here? Seems like a wrong situation to allow. Stuck with having to leave a track empty because it's the technical "master". But perhaps I've created a track, duplicated with "same track" and then included that duplicate in the stack & not the original... Not sure how to fix, unless I just "hide" track 7 and try to forget about it.
  5. Doesn't help my stability About 10-20% of the time I hit "N" for notation editor, LogicX crashes immediately (takes literally 5 minutes to show the crash report too). I'm waiting for another unrelated crash to finish right now. So many, I'm seriously considering using 9 until I get a release that suggests general stability has improved.
  6. I can't reproduce it now, so it's possibly just an obscure bug I encountered.
  7. There must be something wrong here... when I click & hold the mouse in the area to the right of "Style" here, the pointer turns into a small dot, but then nothing happens. If I double click in that box (to the right of "Style"), a blue border appears but it's empty, and again, nothing happens. There's no text or drop down or anything. Even if choosing a staff style has changed drastically in X, this can't be right? (10.0.1) I looked up the manual but it suggested to me this should work.
  8. Oh right. Whoever wrote that is probably onto the new version already.
  9. I'm looking at doing this now, actually. Someone will probably beat me to it and, actually, I'm starting with just track icons. The only danger is that by using internals like this, any update of LogicProX could render such an app completely broken and doing damage. Obviously there'll be a massive disclaimer about backing up LogicProX. Still my plan is to separately manage the icons (eg PNG) you want, so your custom icons are managed & stored by the app, so that when a ProX update comes, the icons can be applied back in bulk each time. In time, any such app could probably be smart enough to know whether it's going to do damage and perhaps can be updated using some kind of config instead of releasing a new version of software each time LogicProX updates. I doubt I'll be able to get it on the MacApp store because of sandbox restrictions (I'm not certain but somehow modifying the internals of another app probably looks, to a Mac, like something only bad people do )
  10. Probably a good question, I saw one video on YouTube claim it sounds better. Sounds dubious to me. It's probably a bug but some plugin settings don't get applied when I open in LogicProX. So using Absynth, I custom changed a preset. I didn't save it separately - just left it changed. Opens fine in Logic Pro.... But when I opened this project in Logic Pro X that custom sound was gone and it was using the default preset. I had to go back in to LogicPro, save as a custom preset and load that into Logic Pro X. Now, that could have deceived me into thinking it sounds slightly different.
  11. Are there any other hardcore score editor users out there having problems in LogicProX? It's quite a bit more frustrating to use at the moment, for me. Often I go to drag one note, and it insists on selecting 2 or 3 nearby notes - I don't know why. I never even tried to select those other notes. Other times, I'll highlight a note & then edit that note using the "E" editor (?) and suddenly my place is scrolled out of view. This happens a lot. My note is still highlighted but I have to scroll back to find it. When you're hard at work on getting a few notes right, this is very annoying. I'll double check how to reproduce the scrolling problem I mentioned, but I'll have to report this I guess. Just wanted to know if anyone else noticed it.
  12. I was thinking to myself, surely they'll do that, it's a "first pass". But then again, it's been 4 years. It's a cruel thing to leave it out and not at least allow a moderately convenient backdoor way of doing it. No doubt a manager or committee decision.
  13. Ah right. So as a "cleanup", I could delete all other files outside .logicx. If I'm confident the old .logic project is no longer needed.
  14. Has anyone noticed that after they open their .logic project & save it as .logicx, the project file becomes (inexplicably) 4 or 5 times larger? No great deal for me. But I wonder if there's a reason for it. This is happened on all the projects I've converted over. The screenshot below is the same project after being converted, going from 11.4MB to just over 100MB.
  15. Maybe this is another topic, but I really wish a plugin would open in the same window as the mixer I commanded it from. Every time I open a plugin, I have to drag it from my main window to my 2nd monitor/mixer window... It seems fair the "monitor it was opened from" should get it. It would save me about a mile of dragging every few months.
