i've been using apogee one for awhile now but i need to change an interface for live performance. what i need to do is to input the instrument, add effects on mac pro and output again. i've been looking for motu 4pre http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/4pre and RME fireface ucx http://www.rme-audio.de/en_products_fireface_ucx.php and apogee duet http://apogeedigital.com/products/duet2.php the RME fireface ucx a bit too expensive for me but i'm afraid the sound of motu 4pre's not good enough for long term usage and apogee duet two only has two input, a bit not enough the upper both have preamp for guitars is there any thing else has good sound quality, 4inputs, preamp and sells at around 600 dollar? by the way i arrange music with logic and live with ableton live thanks for reading all these guys, appreciate for your help!

yes!!!!! i've done thing wrong!!!! what u have to do is to click hold the instrument's name, not loading the setting!!! simply as that! and u will find the new instrument still thanks alot michael2

i've downloaded some .sf2 file and wanted to use it in exs24 but in vain. i've search the internet, it said the exs24 will convert the .sf2 file automatically. i put the sf2 file at both user/library/application support/logic/sampler instrument and Macintosh HD/library/application support/logic/sampler instrument but it doesn't work with me. so i tried to convert it first by download cdxtract 4 (demo) but it doesn't open on my computer. it just shows the image on dock but nothing has come out, nor did the bar on top of the screen change to cdxtract. plz help me if anyone has experienced the same awkward thing. i'm frustrated. http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/1075/2011082013951.png see this chinese orchestra Er Hu? it is gray and i can't click it http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/5094/2011082014016.png and so i chose other existed .exs files, they also appeared gray. really appreciated

after i install logic 9 pro i have two logic, two logic nude and two mainstage each of them takes much spaces of my mac book http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8827/20110709114833.png i've try to delete logic 9.00 and it still works but seems a litte slower. is it ok if i delete Logic Node 9.0.0, Logic Pro 9.0.0, MainStage 2.0.1 (these are the older versions)?

i have this guitar track, first record, then add in amp and pedal(distortion), then change eq, at last, if the sounds reach it's limit i'll add in compressor. is this the right sequence? put compressor at the last one? cause now, although the orders are above, i put compressor at first. and if it's a software instrument is the process the same?
