  1. "So, what do you think...is there any reason to use "multi instrument patch" at all in my case? It's not too hard to find indivisual sounds from the keyboard when needed, play to midi, bounce to audio, save the midi track (if there's a need to change something) and move on...." David. Any thoughts about this?
  2. Thank you for the clarification. I need to digest this for a moment. 20 years ago I had 8 or more inputs in my internal audiointerface but now my Apogee is only 2/2. So, what do you think...is there any reason to use "multi instrument patch" at all in my case? It's not too hard to find indivisual sounds from the keyboard when needed, play to midi, bounce to audio, save the midi track (if there's a need to change something) and move on.... And the sound is back, had an issue with Yamaha midi settings...
  3. Ok, that helped for the inspector view but now there is no sound ah ah....😀 And it just doesn't make sense to me that all the inserts etc are gone. Ok, no sound now so what's next. Anything about those environment cables?
  4. Ok, then I must be doing something wrong. It's been + 20 years since I was using any external sound modules with Logic; I think it was L4 & Windows. Should I do something about the "cables" in environment window? Check the pictures...The first picture shows how the main window inspector looks when I drag the multi instrument from the environment (and remove all the 14 extra tracks) The 2. picture when I open a new ext. instrument. track with + button. So there must be something that's not right.... And BTW. I'm using Logic 10.5.1 in my old studio machine (Mojave)
  5. And one more question...now with an ext. instrument selected this lower part of the inspector looks weird. Is that how it supposed to be?
  6. Thanks. So if I want to see the bank / program numbers in the inspector, I always have to drag multi instrument from the environment....and when selecting new instrument using + button and ext. instrument, there is no way get this bank / program view to show up? And how do I save this? As a template? Is there a way to save just multi instrument and load it to an other projects?
  7. All the preset banks are done, 11 banks in total. Had to remove all the blank lines between preset names so it took a while. Now have to decide whether or not do the user presets one by one, huh! Question; is there a way to see bank and program name in main window's inspector? (see the picture) Now I can only see those in the environment window when the multi instrument is selected...
  8. Hi again David, couldn't copy / paste the names. Not sure if there is some kind of paste special in Mac? Should I use spreadsheet?
  9. Hi David. I just tested this...first 8 banks. Is this going somewhere?
  10. Thanks again David. I was actually looking this data list earlier today but it not clear to me what parameters i need to add to that "custom midi messages" table (or what ever it's called...not in front of Logic now) I'll have to dig deeper into this in the next few days and probably ask your help. 😊
  11. Thanks. Well it still looks like a lot of work and headache. I have to find those custom bank messages somewhere....
  12. David, is this the kind of approach you would recommend?
  13. Thank you David. It's been a while since I last visited here...I'm not sure when I have time for this but I already found some youtube video about this issue but thought that I could save some time and nerves if someone got one.... I will post again if (when) I'm stuck with it. 😉
