  1. Just noticed that the little "R" and "I" buttons beneath the fader on my tracks cannot be toggled. I have created new tracks that are record enabled and still i cannot toggle either button. What am i missing? EDIT: found the problem.. I had my interface set as the I/O when it wasn't connected. Switched to internal audio and all is well.
  2. I have a drum bus that i'd like to separate back out into individual tracks for some final tweaks. I am aware that i can solo each track and do a full bounce but when i try this and import/rearrange everything, the drums don't gel like they did pre bounce.. I imagine this is because my bus has an instance of Decapitator and that plug is effecting the drums as a whole and when they are sent through solo they are effected differently. Any ideas of a workaround?
  3. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a shot.
  4. This may sound a little convoluted but i'll try and make some sense... So, i'm interested in learning how to compress individual tracks from a logic project externally. I am aware it is simple enough to route the audio from logic out through my interface (saffire 14), through the compressor and back into logic BUT and here's the important part.. I want the kick drum to bypass the monitors as it first passes through the interface but the rest of the track to play, joined by the effected kick drum as it returns from the compressor. Is this feasible? Charlie.
  5. I've got a bass station 2 and have got it setup with logic. I'm just wondering whether it's possible to permanently change the names of the midi parameters in automation mode to fit the synths parameters? Rather than the random selection logic seems to have titled each control no. Pic attached to help make sense of the above haha. Cheers Charlie.
  6. Just wondering as i'm considering upping my ram from 4gb to 16gb. I don't use many, if any, instruments with huge sample libraries. I've heard they are the main culprit for eating up lot's of RAM. I do use lots of Waves, Decapitator, Ohm force plugs. Are they RAM Hungry? I'm not having many issues with my current setup (late 2011 MBP 2.4ghz I7, Samsung SSD) but i notice if i stack up a few instances of Decapitator, i can run into the dreaded spikes/slow messages. Any thoughts? I also use predator in most of my projects. Regards Charlie.
  7. Sorry for the late reply and thanks i will do. It's really not the end of the world if i can't sort it. Eventually i'll end up finishing with the tracks from LP9 and starting fresh X projects. One other quick question David, that's unrelated. I have 4gb of ram, is it worth me bumping up to 16gb for LPX? I notice i do sometimes still get the overload messages and cpu spikes sometimes when i have lots of demanding plugs in a project. Does ram help with easing that off?
  8. Indeed that does seem to fix the issue. Just opened up a fresh project and there is no hanging with either audio or instrument track duplication. Strange.
  9. Just tested and it does hang whether it's a track full of random plugs or a fresh audio/instrument track. I am not working from template. All my projects in LPX (i think) began life in LP9. Could that be the issue? I'll create a fresh LPX project and check.
  10. I think it hangs regardless. I'll double check and get back to you.
