  1. There must be someway to open up the project file and find a list of numbers. If I have to, I'll go through the raw data and reset every fader position by hand.
  2. I had Logic 9.0.0 and Snow Leapord on a MBP. I then saved my Logic folder on a portable hard drive, wiped my drive and installed Mavericks. At first I had Logic Pro X, but I soon realized I needed a 32 bit version and went down to 9.1.7. It opens fine, has all of the data, and all the plugins in the right places on the mixer, but every one of my synths is init patch.
  3. I think I was running 9.0.ish and now it 9.1.7 I had Logic X, but the projects use a lot of 32bit stuff
  4. Every non-apple plugin goes back to default, and the "original mac" is pretty much this one before I wiped the drive and did a clean boot of Mavericks. None of this is content related. I'm a little frazzled, I kind of just lost 2 years worth of music and I was just about to start mastering it for release so I could maybe make some money. This is really, really not okay.
  5. So, I just wiped my drive and did a clean boot of Mavericks. I thought I had everything backed up, but apparently Logic keeps information on plugin settings somewhere other than the project file itself? What gives? I opened up a project, all audio files found, all plugins found, nothing amiss on my end, but everything has default setting. You'd think it would at least tell me there was some error or something... wtf, really? So where does it save that information? And more importantly, how do I get it back? There's no way the developers never imagined the possibility of opening up a file on a different computer with all the same plugins and that's essentially what I'm doing. So why is everything gone? I'm really quite furious about this. It's more than a colossal failure.. in the very worst case it should tell me it has information on settings and ask me one by one which knob they apply to.. but nothing. Not a peep. Just hands me a bunch of GRRAAHH default plugins like that's acceptable, and doesn't even show an error. You would never see something like this in my code. viewtopic.php?f=8&t=96714&p=504423&hilit=plugin+settings+lost#p504423
  6. This may be the case. I did a full disk clean and OS update. The AU looks the same, but I'll see if I can figure out what the exact version was.. Would this mean that updating a AU might result in a loss of it's use in all projects, btw? That would be nice to know sooner.
  7. The bottom picture shows the plugin existing exactly where it had before. I don't know why it isn't being found.
  8. So, I felt like going through a bunch of old music and remastering it, but I've since updated to X. I still have all the AU's, but X is not looking in the right place. I'm running 10.0.7 on Mavericks, hardware is probably not necessary info. I know where the AU it should be looking for is, is there any way I can help it find it? I don't have the preset, and I lose it upon opening a "new" plugin (or the exact plugin it should have opened). If there is no way of this, is there any way to somehow extract the plugin settings so I can reapply them? The Error It's looking in the wrong place
  9. Is the chord sound synth based or sample based? I'd probably try EQing. Generally static is just short of impossible to fully remove, but if it sounds more tonal, you should be able to get rid of most of it.
  10. I know this isn't super helpful, but I don't understand what you're asking. If you're asking if you can route midi from one track to another, yes. If you have midi (note, not mapped) controlled plugins, they'll each need their own software instrument track. I'll explain further once I know exactly what you're asking.
  11. This is my test case I want to get working: I want to take all controller data of channel 2, and change it to channel 6. Then I want Channel 6 Controller 4 data to control any knob, but let's say a gain utility one for simplicity. Changing the controller data is easy, but I can't find a way to route it so that the modified data is then used in midi mapping. When you go to MIDI-mappings (Cmd-L) it appears that it only takes physical inputs. Does anyone know how to control plugin knobs with transformed midi?
  12. Is there any way of creating a delay between the time you release a MIDI note and the time it sends release information to the track? I would like to split and route the MIDI of my melody into an arpeggiator so it can semi-follow my melody on the fly. I'm using Logic 9.0.0 on a MBP.
  13. I was wondering if there is any way to take midi and analyze it's chord within environment for the sake of then outputting another chord based off the root. Basically, I want to make something that takes whatever chord I put in, and plays a set of comp tones of my choosing. eg. Cmin -> Eb, G Cmin 7 -> Eb, Bb C7 -> E, A, Bb, D Thanks for any and all help. I'm using Logic 9.0.0 on a MBP
