  1. 48 channels is a lot. Here are some options though: I've successfully linked 2 Echo Audiofire 12's together and they work pretty good. The people at echo say you can link more, so that might an option if you have to get all 48. More solid options that won't give you all the channels you need would be the Presonus StudioLive which I use every week to record our church service into Logic. Haven't had any problems with that. Also, the Behringer X32 is a very good board from what I hear. I've never used it personally, but I've been at shows mixed with it and seen what it can do.
  2. If you can hear something when you turn the knob to input that means the problem is probably in Logic. First thing to check would be if you have "Software Monitoring" enabled in the Preferences. Next I would make sure the channels you are using in Logic are record enabled and have their outputs set to Stereo Out... and that the faders are up.
  3. I've had the same thing happen to me using the H4n. Not sure why
  4. Already did that once. I guess i'll try it again
  5. Hey guys. Just wanted to let you know that I won't be on here for a while. I've decided to go into cryogenic sleep and wake up when spotlight is done indexing which it says will be done in 2,147,483,648 hours... See you in 10,000 years. Have a good life. I can't wait till Logic XI comes out in the year 12,013 A.D.
  6. so back to this spotlight issue. what should I do if it never stops indexing?
  7. In it's day it was probably a good sized drive
  8. Lol no. It's and older drive from a G5. The G5 failed a few years ago, so we got a MacPro and I just swapped the hard drives.
  9. I do have a random question though. I just tried to search something in spotlight to find out that spotlight is indexing. Could that be causing the computer to slow down?
  10. I use different projects on all of them.
  11. System Drive is 150gb with 96gb free Internal 1 is 150gb with 43gb free Internal 2 is 1TB with 922gb free External 1 is 150gb with 11gb free
  12. No. No backup, but I think i'll live. i'm changing the key commands all back to normal as I find them. The system drive is 150gb and has 96gb free now.
  13. I think I will also take this time to complain haha. Now that I have reset my preferences I no longer have the same key commands. I know when you upgrade from logic 8 to logic 9 it keeps the logic 8 key commands, but my question is WHY DID APPLE DECIDE TO CHANGE ALL OF THEM!?!?!? Lol it's so annoying. Why do I have to relearn everything just because they made a new version??? Ok that's all I have to say. I still love Logic, but I had to get that off my chest
