  1. Watched a few tutorials and read up on this. The problem is that, even though I open up Learn mode, when I click on a plugin parameter, and turn my rotary, nothing is happening. Is there some set up that needs to happen before this. I have the MPK25 in midi sync in Logic. Thanks for your help. Hiphopblues ps. Once I do this, do I save it as a project template? What is the best way for this to work from project to project.
  2. To answer my own question, this feature had not been implemented on Animoog yet, but is in the works (from the Animoog forum). Hiphopblues
  3. Hello, figured out how to add animoog as an external midi device by wifi. It all works and records as it should with one exception. The beautiful thing about animoog is that each key on the ios screen has what is essentially a mod wheel integrated into it. You hit the key, and slide up and down to get modulation. Very expressive! When I played the animoog instrument in logic on my keyboard, the mod wheel didn't do anything, and so I got this boring and static sound. If this could work, it would be really great. A whole external midi synth for 99 cents. So, If anyone could help me get the modulation effect onto the modwheel of my midi keyboard, that would be great. By the way, if anyone is interested in the setup, I would be happy to share. It's just the what looks like the normal process for setting up an external midi instrument and hooking up my ipod by wifi (on my mac) Thanks, Hiphopblues
  4. Two essential conditions for upgrading: 1. Logic must be named Logic Pro, no spaces, no version number in the name. 2. Logic must reside in the Applications folder. Thanks, Logic wasn't in Applications for some reason. Nice call. Hiphopblues
  5. I downloaded the package. When I tried to install, got an error message indicating that I needed to have Logic 9.0 or higher to install. I have 9.1.5. Previous updates of 9.1.3 and 9.1.5 went fine. Any advise? Thanks, Hiphopblues
  6. If you want to use samples in Garageband IOS, here's what you do. 1. Create a sampler instrument in Logic (using whatever one shot or chops you want to use) 2. Export the sampler instrument and samples out of the EXS24. 3. Open GBSamplemanager (GBSM) (http://www.redmatica.com/Redmatica/GBSamplerManager.html). Using Itunes, export a song with any samples or midi info. in it (it cannot be a blank project) from you IOS device onto your computer. 5. Drag the GB song into the GBSM 6. Drag the samples and EXS24 instrument together into the sample window of GBsamplemanager (Redmatica). 7. Now, your samples and EXS24 instrument will be in the song 8. Using Itunes, put your song back into GB on you IOS device. 9. Open GB on your IOS device, and import the song (that setting is in My Songs). 10. Open the GB sampler in the song, and you will see your EXS24 instrument as a sample in "this song." Tap it and start hitting the keyboard. This way, you can get any EXS24 instrument you have or want to create into GB on your IOS device. New drum kits, instruments or chops can be used. Hope this helps someone. Hiphopblues
