  1. I usually never upgrade to a new OS until many months later, but I had to upgrade some other pieces anyway, so I took the plunge. I reloaded several old sessions, and everything seems to be working just fine. Actually, much better! The sessions load much faster, and performance (response time) is much better. But absolutely make sure that your hardware has updated their drivers to work with Yosemite. Now that I have jinxed myself, it will probably be a complete nightmare this week when I start a new session!
  2. Has anyone gotten the Digi 002 rack to work on OSX Mavericks? I know it says '002 rack and console are not supported (untested)' according to Avid's site, but I was curious if anyone has got it to run. I am currently using Logic Pro 9 with it right now under OSX 10.8.5, but would like to upgrade my OS. (Logic Pro X is out until I can find a reliable 32 bit bridge for all of my plugs.) Thnaks in advance.
  3. M-Audio stuff not working, how surprising... Yep. Digi Hardware is dead in the water. I have the 002 Rack. It amazes me that even MOTU worked with Apple before the OS 10.9 launch to make sure they were ready! C'mon Avid!
  4. +1 on this! I would like to know this also, before upgrading.
  5. I updated my digidesign drivers the other night, and now Logic won't boot. It just hangs on "checking midi drivers". So I trashed the digidesign folder, emptied the trash, and rebooted, and still won't launch. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there something hiding somewhere? Thanks in advance.
  6. I just installed Mountain Lion and found out (the hard way) that MachFive V2 is not working with ML. Is anyone using V2 with ML, or do I have to upgrade to V3? I am able to run MachFive 2 in standalone mode, but I get a "crashed validation" when running AUManager. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong? All of my other plugs are loaded fine. Any help is much appreciated. Setup: Macbook Pro OSX 10.8.1 8GB Ram Logic Pro 9.1.7 MachFive 2
  7. I have recently been wondering this same thing. So, (on my setup) it would be beneficial to run single instances, specifically to save CPU? I have not run into any peaks on HD or RAM, but the CPU gets dangerously close sometimes.
  8. Thanks triplets! That did it! I will have to start getting into the practice of NOT starting at 1111.
  9. I am starting from 1111. I will try that.
  10. I am attempting to start a plugin in bypass mode, and then switch it on about 4 bars in. I "write" automation to do this, but every time I restart from the beginning, the plugin does not start in bypass mode when I switch to "read". What am I doing wrong?

    CPU Pegging?

Thank you also SteveO. I will certainly be using the freeze function as soon as tomorrow!

    CPU Pegging?

The Environment Window!!! Yes! I had no idea. I can't thank you enough triplets! I had 8 software synths still running and the original click track. Closed those tracks and now my CPU meter barely makes a blip!

    CPU Pegging?

That's my dilemma SteveO. The instrument tracks are no longer in my newly renamed session. I simply have the resulting audio tracks. I don't have one single track showing with an instrument plugin on it. I am so confused!

    CPU Pegging?

OK. I just ran a test. I tried loading my audio session without my Mach 5 iLok installed. The session is certainly trying to load the software instruments. I witnessd my Kontakt 2 plugin load the sounds, Sculpture loaded, and Mach 5 tried but failed. CPU meter was waaay down! I thought by bouncing and replacing the midi tracks to audio, that should have disabled the software instruments? I am obviously wrong! So how do you disable the instruments after the fact?

    CPU Pegging?

No midi regions showing, all audio tracks. Also, I just started with the audio tracks session, so nothing more than built in EQ as far as plugins go.
