  1. Well, I do have an old Windows laptop and if I'm correct Logic 5 is on it (as a back-up for my PC work back in the days I think). But have to check if everything still works. However, it would be much easier - and less time consuming because it's a big library - if I only had to tweak a few settings on my Mac to make it work. If that's possible of course.
  2. I found a folder with all my old projects that I made with Logic 5 on a PC. Now I want to use them for reworking. The files can be opened and everything is visible - even the plug-ins in the mixer section - but unfortunately, they're not loaded. Probably due to the following message which I receive after opening the file: This project contains an audio configuration that was created using ASIO. The active audio device is currently Core Audio. Copy the audio configuration and reassign all Channel Strips to Core Audio? You can choose between Cancel and Convert but both options won't result in loaded plug-ins (mostly stock and a few 3rd party that are already installed). My Output/Input device is UAD Apollo Twin Thunderbolt by the way. The Core Audio button is enabled but switching between on and off doesn't seem to effect the plug-ins. So my question is, how to fix this?
  3. The problem is Apple's APFS vs browsing inside an audio plug-in. Unbelievable that they didn't fix it yet because this already started with High Sierra so it seems. Anyway, I'll respond to your NI topic so Las knows what's going on.
  4. Check https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360005468878-Presets-not-sorted-alphabetical-anymore-in-NI-Massive-after-upgrade-Mac-en-us- I also contacted Cakewalk (or what's left from it) and they will also try to solve the issue.
  5. Hi, I made the switch to a new iMac recently (Mojave) but after installing everything again it seems that there's an issue with file sorting. For example: the presets in NI Massive and Cakewalk Z3TA+2 that are stored in 'documents' aren't in alfabetical order anymore (which isn't improving workflow obviously). I've read something about an APFS bug * but that should be solved by now (and was also High Sierra related). My question, is there a way to fix this - inside Logic - or is this a known issue at all? Thanks! * https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=492271 [Diva][Zebra] Presets are no longer shown in alphabetical order "This happens because Apple introduced a new file system with High Sierra, and it doesn't seem to sort file listings the same way as before." https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8178786 High Sierra file sorting issue (with examples from other instruments) https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8118020 plugin's preset arrangements https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360003950629-Tracks-not-in-alphabetical-order-10-13-High-Sierra-en-us- https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360000967769-Traktor-Pro-2-Tracks-not-in-alphabetical-order-10-13-en-us-
  6. I have some plugins that carrie the names of certain artists (for extra promotion I guess) but I want to rename them to the real developer/manufacturer name. Now I'm aware of this tool > https://auganizer.com/ but paying € 30 for only renaming a few names seems a bit expensive. And I'm still not sure if this tool works with the latest Logic version. I also don't want to mess up things if it isn't necessary. So my question remains: is there an easier trick to this perhaps?
  7. Smooth Cycle Algorithm was already disabled so it seems but changing the value from Off to 1/96 or 1/192 works!
  8. Okay this is strange and I hope someone has a solution. When I want to listen to an audio file by using the cycle (repeat) button (so it plays in a loop), the first note loses its attack by each repeat. Very anoying. Especially with drums. I'm not sure if this has something to do with latency. When using cycle with midi there are no issues. Only with audio files, audio stems etc. Here are some settings: Audio/Devices Core Audio Enabled Output Device Universal Audio Apollo Thunderbolt Input Device Universal Audio Apollo Thunderbolt I/O Buffer size 512 samples Resulting Latency 30,5 ms Roundtrip (12,2 ms Output) Recording Delay 0 samples Processing Threads Automatic Process Buffer Range Medium Multithreading Playback & Live Tracks ReWire Behavior Off Audio/General Plug-in Latency Compensation All Low Latency Mode 'not enabled
  9. Okay, maybe it's a bit odd to ask but besides using my ears I'm also visually set. So here's my question, is it possible to remove/disable the white frequency numbers in the Channel EQ GUI? * If yes, how? I guess there must be a .tif file in the 'Contents' folder that is related to these numbers. Perhaps in: Contents/Frameworks/MAResources.framework/Versions/A/*Resources* Not sure though. * Visable below the 0 line > 20-50-100-200-500-1k-2k-5k-10k-20k
  10. Hmz that's strange, I have no troubles with Kontakt/Ultrabeat multi outputs created in the previous version 10.2.2 .. ?
  11. I have decided to give it a try also!
  12. Thanks! Indeed, technology is evolving fast lately (for me at least) but sometimes it's hard to catch up. Not only software related btw.
  13. I'm still @ 10.9.5 and don't want to upgrade my OS X because I'm not convinced (yet) that everything works the way it should be. But it seems that this update is only compatible to 10.10 or later. That means I can't update?
