David, I believe I understand your response, but let me clarify. What if
I like the sound of a loop say acoustic guitar for the purposes of this
question, and I want to use it to construct a song using a standard 1-4-5
progression, according to your reply I CAN NOT change the key of the loop
in the media viewer window and drag it to the arrange window and expect it
to stay in the key it was changed to? It will just stay in the key the
song is set for, correct? EG: Loop originally in "C", so I drag it to the
arrange window and if the song is set to the key of "C" it will play in
that key, over and over again if I stretch it? But, if the song is set in
antother key, say the key of "A", the loop will change to the key the song
is set for, "A" correct? So if I drag and drop the "C" loop into the
arrange window (audio file) of a song that is in the key of "C", I am OK,
but if I want to change that same loop to "F" in the preview window and
drag it to the arrange window for the 3rd measure and lets say change it to
"G" in the preview window and drag it to the arrange window for the 4th
measure, (to get a 1-4-5 song pattern) Apple loops WONT work as all of the
loops will just play in the key the song is set for, correct? Thats a
bummer, but I understand. OK, is there a looping program that is
compatible with Logic 9.1.7, i.e: (that will let me drag the OTHER programs
loops into logic, you know, a program that offers the same loops in all the
keys so I can construct a decent track, like a 1-4-5, and not get just the
same old loop in the same key over and over again). Cant really construct
different varities of songs that way, unless you are just writing say an
electronic dance tune? Any advice, as I was really psyched about using
Apple loops to construct songs, but this lack of flexability really bums me
out. Thanks for your help and support.
