  1. that might be it thanks for your help guys !
  2. yup,there is . inputs 1 ,7 and 8 are selected "rear". should they be "front" ?
  3. well i think i found my problem ... i checked the fireface mixer and it doesn't get any signal from fireface ... what should i do now ?
  4. well ,not exactly ... i'll have to check it .
  5. yes i do and it's doesn't work i can see on my interface that it gets the signal but i can't see anything in logic .
  6. sorry but i am a complete newbie and it all seems soooo confusing ... my problem is that i can only plug mics into input 9 and 10 ,when i plug them into 7 and 8 (which are both preamps if i got this right ... ) it seems like it doens't work ... a friend of mine who has a home studio (he's got FF UFX and Logic pro 9) told me that something is wrong for sure so i decide to post here. if there's any other questions i'll be willing to answer because i really want to get this stuff going
  7. if that would be the problem ,i probably wouldn't be posting but unfortunetly they are not working ...
  8. some time ago i got an rme FF 800 interface and logic pro 9.1.8 but i couldn't record anything ... all the things that i played just didn't show up as a waveform in logic. i tried lots of things but somehow problem solved itself. but that's not all i can only record using input 9 and 10 on my interface ... i am attaching two screenshots . one of them is how it looks when i am choosing an input in a track and the second one shows how my i/o labels window looks like. i can only record using input 9/10 because only those two show up as ex. input 9 (mic 9) ,all the others show up as ex. input 1 (analog 1). how do i fix it ? EDIT : god ... i forgot about the screenshots ... just wait a minute ,please ... Edit2:ok,done
  9. problem solved by an accident. i just did an update off my mac and the problem just disappeared.but there's an other thing that annoys me ... when i try to record anything using my interface (and a mic) i can see that LED on interface is working but i can't see (and hear) anything in logic. i am sure that i choose the right input in logic and that i set all the things right(core audio, gain on the interface etc.) . any hints ?
  10. i just got the latest logic pro version and wanted to record some stuff just to test my audio interface and mics. the first thing i did was downloading "additional content",when downloading finished "Error code -2 was returned by the Audio driver." and i ignored it. the next day i wanted to record something and everytime i try to add new track i can only choose "external MIDI" ... i search for help and found some post saying that core audio must be enabled so i checked it . it was enabled so i disabled it,enabled it again and clicked "apply changes" and this "Error code -2 was returned by the Audio driver." pops out ... what is the problem ? is it something wrong with my audio interface ? i think i did everything right installing the driver ... the interface is RME fireface 800. i had already record some stuff using garageband so i assume that there's something wrong with logic . help, please ...
