  1. Great ideas re. Audio Chase. Unfortunately, 10.4 doesn't have that Chase tab!
  2. Switching Cycle Regions while transport is running resets plugins. First of all, I apologize for not hanging around this wonderful forum more often. I can't figure this one out: So I'm working on live perfermance where I'm feeding my MIDI synced Buchla into Logic. The audio is going through a lot of delays and reverbs. I'm using Meta Fader 51 to remotely goto, and loop to, different Marker regions. However, when I trigger the Goto Marker command, all the plugins all restart and I loose all the glorious echos and reverbs as though I'm hitting the Space Bar (a place where aliens drink?) to restart the project. Is there anyway around this?? I'm desperate for this to work! Help!
  3. Also, you can set the ramp time (which determines how quickly the new touch data goes back to the existing automation) in Logic's automation preferences!
  4. Hi, I've created music for iOS games. One is Drop7 by Zynga. I'm not exactly sure what you question is...if you're are asking whether iOS can read Logic project files then the answer is no. If you're asking if iOS can sync (playback) multiple audio streams, then the answer is yes. Steve
  5. Like Eric said, Logic's plugins are quite good. Some are extraordinary. Yes, they aren't as sexy looking as some third party ones, but sonically and creatively they are right up there. Learning about audio is key to understanding how to use them. Good luck on your Logic adventure.
  6. Unless it was updated since i last used it, the EVOC can't handle too "outside" signals. It's source is always its internal, built-in synth. What it analyzes always comes in via the side chain. You can't use a guitar (or any side chained track) as a source.
  7. Haha... Thought we were in the Environment. That's the last time I answer at a stoplight from my iPhone. Sorry!!!!
  8. Screensets aren't the answer. It would be best to construct a Cable Switcher in the environment to switch between different preset Transformers!
  9. EVOC only vocodes its built in synth. I've never tried any of these .. But you might and report back!: http://m.musicradar.com/tuition/tech/7-great-vocoder-plug-ins-513324
  10. Hey everyone... It's been a while since I've posted...However, I hope to dive in more often and add to the awesome knowledge base here at David's LPH! I've been working on some cool environments and I hope I can share them with you all!! Just spent some time with Ski and Jay Asher at NAMM which reminded me how much I miss you guys! So, until later... Steve H
  11. Thanks to David and LPH for having me present my crazy environments and Sculpture patches at the LALPUG last night. I had a great time and hopefully inspired a few crazy ideas! Thanks, too, to everyone who came out on such short notice. Logic and LPH rock! Steve H
  12. Or... you can play to click and grid and then use tempo changes to recreate a rubato feel... just a thought!
  13. Another way is to open up a Multi Output instance of Ultrabeat and assign the different voices to different outputs right in UB itself. Then, in Logic's Mixer, click the + button on UB's channel strip (several times) and it'll create a aux channel for every assigned output. Then, effect away! This way you can use one instance of UB and not have all those darn MIDI track in on your Arrange page and handle all the mixing and audio stuff right in the mixer.
  14. The note's velocity is imbedded into the note along with its, position, pitch and duration. Why, may I gently ask, do you just want the velocity value? BTW, I bet Ski and I could come up with a quick way to take one regions velocities and impose them on a new realtime performance in the environment... right Ski? Hello Ski are you there? Hello?
