  1. That's exactly what was happening! Looking at the screen/playhead during countdown made me early. I found that if I rely on my ears and the click I'm more accurate and then Logic does not capture the premature note. Thank you very much David for the awnser and running this excellent forum. B.
  2. Just thought I'd add, this behaviour is happening in cycle mode only. Tried it with different pre counts, but it always puts in an additional bar before the loop start.
  3. Hi Guys, Just learning to record midi in Logic (Normally it's all audio with me)... Why does Logic X add one bar to the front of a recording? Pulling my hair out. How to disable this weirdness? Sooo confusing!
  4. Thought I had checked the key assignments, but it just wasn't showing anything. Thank you, Plowman. Trashing the preferences, as suggested fixed things.
  5. When I jiggle the modulation wheel (CC1) on my controller, Logic Pro X: - Stops play/record - Returns the playhead to the beginning of the track How can did this happen? Surely this is not default behaviour? How can I find out what causing this and turn it off? This behaviour is preventing me from recording midi performances. Please Help!
  6. Thank you Eric, I have tried it with the built in audio and it makes no difference. Set the project above 48 and the delayed "Loading Core Audio" message comes up when loading the project. Set it at 44 it loads quickly without this annoying delay. So it's not the driver or interface. I'm surprised that no one else is irritated by this productivity handicap....
  7. Hi Eric, Sorry for the late reply. I have now updated my signature. So are you saying my issue is specific to my Sacarlet ?
  8. When starting a saved project set above 48khz, the project loads as normal. However, when you want to begin working on it, LPX stalls and a message comes up: loading Core Audio.... Why this annoying reload and associated delay? Is this behaviour intentional or is it a bug? (It doesn't happen at 44 or 48)
  9. I'm only new to Logic, but how about backing up the offending folder to a thumb drive and deleting it off your legacy location and the ejecting the thumb drive. Would LP then try to open another project, giving you access to change the startup settings?
  10. Hi, I'm a newbie to Logic, working my way through various tutorials. This one has me stumped despite much searching... In many tutorials I see tracks in arrange view that have no waveform, just a nice bold name. The track header has no icon, just a title. This is quite different to the default look of Logic. How do you achieve that type of view? TIA Bo
