  1. I fixed this by setting the "Balance" setting in the "Gain" plugin all the way left or right, and enabling "Mono."
  2. Hi, I'm making a song with all software instruments in Logic Pro X. When playing back the track, I noticed it was sounding muddy and not hitting my subwoofer like it should in a hard hitting / loud part of the song, so I inserted the correlation meter and sure enough it was going below zero into the red during that part. So on the sub bass / bass track (made with the ES2) I tried inserting the "Gain" plugin and turning on the "mono" button, which did keep the correlation meter above zero and in the blue, but now the volume of the sub bass track fluctuates up and down which is definitely not going to work for me. There is not automation on the track, and the position of the fader is not changing. I tried moving the gain plug in above and below the EQ and Compressor inserts on the same track, but that didn't help, so I don't know where to go from here... please help. Thanks!
  3. Yes, that is the problem... the second/latter of the two regions created after splitting them loses the control data, but the first region still has it. I just deleted the region and recorded it over, but in my opinion the software should know better.
  4. Hello everyone... I am making a song using the Logic X Software Instrument Preset "Synthesizer>EDM Bass>Dub Machine." This produces a track stack with the main track and two sub-tracks; "Dub Machine," and "Sub Layer." I am recording MIDI Data to the main (top) track with my keyboard and it's built-in pitch/modulation lever. My pitch/modulation lever rests at bottom center (up/down is modulation, left/right is pitch). During the recording, I am keeping the modulation pinned at about 75% of the way up, and changing pitch back and forth from there through the whole recording. It records my take and all is well and good until I try to split said region/take to cut out the crappy part of my performance and keep the good part. When I play the newly split region back, the pitch changes are still there, but the modulation was as if it was left at zero the whole time, but when I actually recorded the performance with the modulation at about 75%. Very frustrating... please help.
  5. My end goal is to transfer some old recordings from a Roland VS-840 Workstation to Logic Pro, and want to use Logic as the master to transmit MMC and MIDI Clock info to the Roland slave so I can import each separate track from songs on the Roland into their own separate tracks in Logic and keep them all in synchronized. I'm using a high end iMac with the current version of Logic 9 in 64-bit mode on the latest version of Mountain Lion with a Saffire Pro 40 Firewire Interface which has a MIDI Output that I have connected to the MIDI Input of the Roland Workstation (I also have a USB MIDISPORT 2X2 which I use to connect a keyboard controller and a Roland VDrumset... not sure if this would cause any conflicts?). I seem to have successfully sync'd time between Logic and the Roland VS Workstation with both MIDI Clock and MTC because I can move the playhead around in Logic, and the time moves and matches on the Roland. My problem is, MMC only works if 'Auto enable external sync' is checked under Project Settings>Synchronization (which I don't think I need to have checked for what I'm doing). With this checked, Logic will start and stop playback in the Roland, but the playhead in Logic does not move unless I uncheck 'Auto enable external sync,' but when I do that, MMC stops working (even though 'Transmit MMC' is checked). I of course have 'Transmit MIDI Clock checked and have the Pro40 selected for the MIDI interface. Please Help!
